Disappointing Experience Where Money Overshadowed Hospitality at Feast - Sheraton
I recently visited Feast at Sheraton for a late lunch, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We decided to sit at a comfortable spot near the food counter to accommodate our 1-year-old toddler.
We barely started with a couple of starters when a staff member casually mentioned that the buffet would be closing soon. He didn’t specify a time, so we assumed it was just an early notice. But suddenly, at 3 PM, all the food was cleared away! I had just begun my main course, and my wife was still working on the starters. When I asked the server, he claimed they had informed us the buffet would close soon—but no one mentioned a time. Later, they even insisted that the front desk had already told us the buffet would close at 3 PM, but the truth is, no one informed us at all.
It was clear they realized the miscommunication, but the manager’s attitude was condescending. Instead of acknowledging the issue, he asked, “What do you want?” as if offering us free food was a generous favor.
I requested a small portion of veg biryani, which they provided, but when I asked how I’d be billed, they explained they’d charge me for one person since the full buffet wasn’t available. That made sense at the time. However, when the bill came, they charged me for two people. When I questioned this, a waiter’s response was that I’d get a discount through Zomato anyway, as if that justified the poor service!
This experience reflects poorly on the Sheraton brand. The service was not only unprofessional but also blatantly money-minded. Sadly, it was clear that financial gain had overtaken basic hospitality, and that’s not what I expect from a reputed hotel chain. Due to this disappointing encounter, I’ve decided to pass on their membership program as well. It’s unfortunate that what could have been a positive relationship was tarnished by such disregard for...
Read moreHad a buffet dinner at Feast- Sheraton today with my family and our experience was horrible. To begin with, the food, my husband and I found hair in two of the dishes. This was our second visit and we found hair in the food during both visits.
Next, the service was abysmal. There was no staff available at the dessert & live counters. Upon calling for them, they sulked and expressed annoyance to serve. Waiters seemed lazy and too busy in their own world. They didn't cater to basic hospitality (which one might expect from a place like Sheraton even if it's a Friday night) like serving water or heeding to our requests. I wanted to surprise my husband with a birthday cake and I specifically spoke to a waiter about the surprise. Few minutes later, he walks upto the table and asks my husband if they can get the cake up to the table. Surprise ruined!!
Then came the bill! Price listed on Google is misleading as it mentioned 2500 for 2, however, they charged 2500 for one, taxes extra. They straight away denied everything I asked and were rude.
I gave this place a 2nd chance but today they have lost atleast 5 diners/customers between my family and I. I'll ensure I pass on this review to my circles as well. If you are planning a visit here (which I would not recommend), please research the price and place well. Expect a wide spread of dry salads and namesake chinese cuisine and non-biryani and paid mocktails that are either sprite or minute maid but don't expect ice creams. Oh & while eating scout for hair and thank the chef...
Read moreExtremely disappointing and humiliating experience I had high expectations for this five-star hotel, hoping to treat my team to a memorable experience, but unfortunately, the reality was far from what I had envisioned. As soon as we arrived, the front office staff began questioning our booking. When they realized I had used an offer, their attitude took an immediate and sharp turn.
Manager Karan seemed fixated on when the booking was made and repeatedly stated that all the seats were taken, even though it was clear there were still empty tables. It became evident that they were trying to undermine the credibility of our reservation. Eventually, we were seated in a corner, away from everyone else. It felt uncomfortable and disrespectful, particularly as there were foreign guests seated in more prominent spots, while we were left feeling sidelined.
When I voiced my discomfort with the seating arrangement, Manager Karan moved us, but by then, the damage had been done. To make matters worse, the complimentary mocktails he offered as a "gesture" of goodwill felt insincere and more like an afterthought than an attempt to truly make up for the unpleasant experience.
For me, hospitality is the cornerstone of any great hotel experience, and unfortunately, this hotel severely lacked in that department. I didn't want to spoil the mood for my team, so we continued with our lunch, but it’s safe to say that I will never return. No amount of luxury can make up for the lack of genuine respect and...
