Came here at a friend's recommendation believing Mohammedias Shawarma to be the best Shawarmas in Hyderabad. When I left, I felt sure that Istanbuls Shawarma (Durum kebab wrap with fries and no salad) is probably equally great though their style of Shawarma is somehow much different than Mohammedia. Here's why. 1. The wrap bread used here is sooper soft (I can't say that softness equates to better though) 2. The overall flavour of the chicken is subtle but juicy and great. Mohammedias Shawarmas are a bit more strong tasting. 3. The quality of fries was superb (especially better when dining in as they don't get soggy from packaging). 4. The size of the Shawarma is bigger though it's about 20 to 30 rupees more than Mohammedias.
That said, it's still a fantastic place to dine in with a subway like ambience. Remember that there's not going to be parking here. The basement park is not large enough and you'll have to park your car on the side street. Bonus: if you're visiting Mandi@36 located above, then you can grab a Shawarma from here to go 🙂
Definitely having Shawarmas here again in the future. They serve...
Read moreI went on a Euro trip as a student early last year. Looking for cheap places to eat in every city visited, I ended up going to these kebab places(spelt Kebap in some cities of some countries) which served chicken and falafel meals ranging from €4-€7 depending on the cost of living in the city. Craving for those times and that food got me to Istanbul. I feel a bit disappointed though and the 3 stars are a testament to that. I ordered a Pilaf platter. The rice and Chicken were okayish, but the let down were the sauces. They have just mayo and ketchup to top their sandwiches and platters. The one thing that differentiated one Doner Kebab outlet from another in Europe and could make an impression in our minds was the variety and quantity of sauce served along with the food. I really hope Istanbul reads this review and improves this about their food. Or else I will have to find a new place to satiate those Europe...
Read moreI recently visited Grill Affair and had a delightful experience. I ordered three burgers: the Double Cheese, the Grilled Chicken, and the Crunchy Chicken.
The Double Cheese Burger stood out as the best among the three. It was perfectly grilled, with a juicy patty and an excellent blend of cheese that melted in your mouth. The flavors were rich and satisfying, making it a top recommendation.
The Grilled Chicken Burger was also impressive. It had a nice, smoky flavor and the chicken was tender and well-seasoned. The Crunchy Chicken Burger lived up to its name with a satisfying crunch in every bite, complemented by a flavorful coating.
I asked for extra mayonnaise on the side, and the staff were happy to oblige without any hesitation. The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall...
