Read moreOur search for good kebabs that don’t burn a hole in our wallets took us here. The place is small and on a Sunday evening it was not too crowded, so that was a relief.
Food - their menu covers biryani, mandi, shawarma and many other such items. We ordered the kebabs, and they were juicy and delicious. The waiting time was about 15 to 20 mins, which was conveyed to us while we placed the order.
Parking - there is a parking lot in this area, and you might be lucky to find a spot here. We didn’t, but we were lucky enough to find a spot outside on the road.
Hygiene, cleanliness & environment - The restaurant itself was quite untidy. The chairs were okay, but the sofas had seen better days. There were holes and the seats were uneven, but this is still okay if the environment was clean. The wash area was unclean, tap was loose and water flow was sporadic. But what crossed it off for me was the environment. The area was a disaster, with an overflowing drainage manhole right in front of the restaurant. It would take all the courage to cross this and enter the restaurant, like it did for us. Not to forget the smell! if there was a -10, it would have been apt to rate hygiene here.
Honestly, that was the only putting off factor, but that one was enough for me to decide I may never go back there. Not a pleasant sight to see and walk on right before putting food in your mouth....

Instead of the welcoming atmosphere we remembered, there was a feeling of neglect and decay hanging in the air.
The place looked rundown from the start, with a strong smell wafting from the hand wash area and flies buzzing around the dining hall. It seemed like every fly in Hyderabad had decided to make this restaurant their home.
Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, we decided to order Mandi, hoping it would still be as good as we remembered. Unfortunately, what we got was a disappointment. The portion was tiny, barely enough to fill us up, and the meat was mostly bones with very little actual meat weighing around 70 to 80 grams out of which 50 to 60 grams were bones.
The taste was bland, like eating plain rice without any seasoning. And don't even get me started on the soup they served – it was nothing like any soup I've ever tasted before.
To top it all off, the service was terrible. Our waiter seemed completely clueless and couldn't even get our orders right.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time and money at this restaurant. It's gone downhill since our last visit, and the experience was far...
