Review: Worst restaurant without neatness and worst taste, believe me you and your family will reach the bed with food poisoning if we have such food. I am not a rival nor I am promoting any other restaurant. Take care of your health guys. Reply to the owner: Last night me and my family had food from your restaurant and we all are suffering with severe vomiting. Its not about one person, 6ppl are on bed. I can't visit you or start a debate with owner, why and how...it happened thats it after having your food. This is not frustration, its a genuine review to avoid other suffering. As I mentioned, I am not a rival nor i am promoting other restaurant. Looks like my review is frustrating the hotel management. Why don't you improvise and take action? I had veg noodles, prawn noodles and gobi manchuria, kindly check at your end.
Reply to the owner 2: looks like you are really frustrated, I guess you mentioned you have 25 yrs of experience, why do you want me to teach you? 99% ppl never come up with there problem to restaurant as they just decide to quit eating at such place or it doesn't matter them for a while. Moreover my father insisted me to visit and explain you about wat happened, so that it doesn't happen with others.
However, I never thought of disclosing my suffering, but you gave me your number and insisted me to show off my suffering. I just thought of keeping it in front of everybody. You like it or dislike it, its upto you and others. I can never explain you about your job, its you who can improvise it based on your experience. If you think you are right and everything is fine then its upto you. Thanks for all your response brother.
Reply to owner 3: reasonable is when you accept and do some action, instead of justifying yourself in all wrong ways and settling down by saying no other person was affected. I was purely wasting my time explaining you. As I mentioned, I am not here to bother my self having a debate with you. Review is given and you can act...
Read moreWe had a positive experience at Mandar. We went on a Saturday evening with enough seats available, without a rush and enough tranquillity to enjoy everything. So our experience would be much different from others.
With a fixed plan in our head, we ordered mutton marag along with sheermal and tandoori roti. There were only two sheermals left by the time we arrived. The order was on our table in 10 minutes. It was my first mutton marag experience. Off the bat, the dish looked very promising - like when you see something healthy and I makes you think it tastier. Four medium-big pieces of mutton were in each of our bowls.
When I had the first spoon of mutton's soup - it at once impressed me as a winter food. Light and nutrient rich, without the worry of bloating later on. It was not overpowered by any one spice or herb.
Next what followed, did change my perspective to what I generally have as in outside food. The mutton was as tender as it can get for a foodie. At once it brought me smile on my face that finally after so many years in Hyderabad I'm eating the best of Hyderabadi food. The meat was well cooked, soaked in the soup-juice making it super succulent. The tandoori roti (not sheermal) went pretty well with the meat and soup for me. I finished the whole bowl in no time. And yeah, I could after a very long time actually taste the flavour of the mutton without the spices taking over all the taste - the taste of meat which has the slight flavour of gamey-ness, grassiness.
With still some gaps in our tummies, we ordered a single mutton biryani and did it not tingle our biryani senses more. Mutton again was cooked for a food lover's enjoyment and not for only chewing for most of your time. Super tender. The biryani rice was better than almost all the other places I've had dinner in.
Very happy with both the mutton marag and the...
Read moreJust to caution people who would like to try Mandar. My worst experience. The service was horrible. We ordered for Dal Makhni, Chicken Butter Masala and Tandoori Roti. Dal Makhni was served after we finished half of our meal that too Makhni was sourced from Dal Tadka. It was neither Dal Tadka nor Makhni. Chicken Butter Masala was over powered with red color. No taste at all. Worst than thela preparation. The chicken served was of giant size, as a result the taste was horrible. When complained the person said that many people complain that small chicken size are not adequate so we serve giant size chicken. They save money by serving 2.5 kg chicken which are less priced and tasteless. So they don't go for quality. Tandoori Roti was white fully rubberized. A day before when I had visited Mandar, I enquired their one of the heads in the non family section about Roti and he said that Roti and Paratha are made of brown flour. I then decided and visited with my family and ordered sitting in the family section. The head monitor said that Roti is prepared from maida. Notice the foul play. One person confirming a day before that roti is made of wheat after which I planned a visit with family and on visiting I was told that it is made of maida. We were helpless. That too it was not served fresh. When I complained he said next roti will be served better. The person was trying to act smart and underestimated us as we were fools. All in all it was our worst experience and had spoiled our mood with tasteless food. If I have to rate Mandaar out of ten, I would hardly give minus five and never ever...
