Minerva Coffee Shop in Panjagutta is a legendary name in Hyderabad when it comes to authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine. A perfect blend of tradition, taste, and consistency, this place truly deserves a 5-star rating for the overall dining experience.
The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a clean and welcoming ambience with a touch of old-world charm. The seating is comfortable, the service is prompt, and the staff is courteous and well-trained. Whether it’s a weekend breakfast or a casual dinner, the crowd here reflects its popularity across all age groups.
Now, coming to the food – simply outstanding! The idlis are soft and fluffy, dosas are perfectly crisp, and the sambar is rich and flavorful. Their chutneys, especially the coconut and tomato varieties, add a delightful punch to every bite. Don’t miss their signature items like Ghee Karam Dosa, MLA Pesarattu, and Pongal – all served hot and fresh.
They also serve a variety of North Indian and Chinese vegetarian dishes, but it's the South Indian fare that steals the show. Their coffee, true to the name, is aromatic, strong, and served piping hot in a traditional stainless steel tumbler – a perfect finish to the meal.
Hygiene standards are well maintained, and food is consistently top-notch. The pricing is reasonable for the quality and portion sizes offered. Parking can sometimes be a hassle due to the location, but the overall experience more than makes up for it.
In short, Minerva Coffee Shop is not just a restaurant, it’s a nostalgic experience for many Hyderabadis and a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic South Indian vegetarian food. Highly recommended for families, foodies, and anyone seeking pure vegetarian goodness with...
Read moreI am a regular visitor to Minerva Coffee shop almost all branches in Hyderabad. I had a very unpleasant experience today with very uncourteous staff and poor service. I was also surprised to see Hot soup being served in plastic bowls and in enquiring the waiter, was reckless and uncourteous in replying. Definitely not the standard of Minerva Coffee shop. Hope the people concerned will take a note of this and change to Ceramic cups at the earliest. During the course of diner when i asked some dishes in Andhra special Menu, I was told chef was on leave today being a holiday. It was very unfortunate to hear a reply like this and also surprised again as this is from a Hotel who had some standards and quality in food, service and Hospitality. Anyway it’s a good lesson to me and I Will think thrice before stepping into this Restaurent or recommending to anybody. I was actually one among, who was vouching for this Restaurent and also to this branch many years from now and infact I had a dinner yesterday also at the same...
Read moreThis is an amazing place for a Sunday Morning Break fast with the family. I believe all thebreakfast items are good, although my personal favorites are Idly Vada, Poori and Masala Dosa in no particular order.
The chutney and sambar are real good and i understand that this place serves groundnut chutney which is not served at the other Minerva Coffee shops. ( something i came to know from my father who has been a regular for the last 15 yrs). Another item that i can easily recommend is the Rava Idly. The idly is nicely steamed in Rava which gives it a rough texture with the carrot and Cashew topping add to the rich flavor. Altogether it has become my latest personal favorite.
The price is high, but remember with the price comes the quality. So once a while it should be OK. And yes as always the service needs improvement. But in the rush hour/ peak times, there is only so much the staff can do. All in all a...
