Not a comfortable experience. Food taste is common to all restaurants and these days all are having their best recipes to amuse the customer.
Parking is ok. Mostly it's full during weekdays too at lunch time. Though I went couple of times, I didn't go for dinner. But no worry, valet parking is available.
Soon you reach there, you will be stopped to list your name and asked to wait in the lounge for your turn, it takes min 15 min for two members and higher for a group.
Now, it takes 20 mins only to listen "Not Available", the food you ordered. I don't know how far the kitchen is from the dining hall.
The supervisor who delivers the message won't wait for your response (to ask for menu card). You have to wait a few minutes to find the waiter to get the menu card. You will be respected according to the food you order. Because they guess if you will be a valuable customer (for tip) or not. If you are No Tipper, don't expect respect. Though I do leave tip however small it is, I don't feel the pleasure of giving it this time. Water bottle though its common now is 50/- mineral rich 750ml. They don't feel responsible for offering normal water. Finish and come out, staff outside as I don't want to mention in specific in their own interest, will try to grab your sight. If you avoid them, they will directly sign. Its not about paying, but the way they compile you to pay makes you irritating.
Food though a bit spicy, not bad. Good for group lunch. Not good for a casual lunch or...
Read moreSrikanya Comfort has always been a stalwart in the space of Andhra cuisine in the city. With a spacious seating and authentic taste, they have won the hearts of many in Hyderabad. I was invited here for a food tasting.
I started with the Chicken Lemon Coriander soup which was the perfect start to the elaborate course. The Chilly Wings were coated and sauteed with oriental sauces. Loose prawns were fresh and garnished with onions and coriander. The full fish fry is made with Pandugappa and is sufficient for a family. Kalmi Kebab had chicken leg pieces sauteed in the tandoor and then served. The Fish Tikka was quite tender and garnished well with Indian spices. Vegetarians can try out the crispy corn. Cheppala Vepudu is an Andhra style fish fry that is crispy and delicious. Pittamamsam vepudu is a spicy crab meat fry and the crabs were succulent and full of flesh.
Moving on to the main course now. Bomidayala Pulusu is cooked with a lot of spices and aromatics. The Chicken Fried Piece Biryani and the Kodi Pulaos are must haves here. Bendakay Chepala Pulusu is a fish curry that is prepared with lady’s finger. Koramen Iguru is a snapper fish curry. The curd rice and sambar rice were also staples that were cooked to perfection.
For desserts they have options of gulab jamun, qubani ka meetha, double ka meetha and apricot delight. Everything from the food to the service was top notch and I would keep going back here for the...

I visited this restaurant for the first time in Hyderabad on Raksha Bandhan day, and it was pouring heavily. Here’s a serious caution — never park your car or bike in the cellar during heavy rain. The entire parking was filled with water, and those who ignored this faced heavy repair bills. Save yourself the trouble!
The restaurant has one small lift at the entrance, accommodating only about 4 people at a time, so expect to wait during busy hours.
Once you reach the main floor, there’s a good amount of seating for families. However, for the handwash area and restrooms, you have to climb another set of stairs. On a rainy day, be extra careful — the restroom area can be slippery and wasn’t very clean.
Food-wise, my suggestion is to skip the chicken dishes — the taste was disappointing. We tried fish biryani, veg biryani, veg corn soup, and some starters. Portions were good, but the fish biryani felt like they just added fish pieces into regular biryani rice. In general, the taste and quality could be much better.
Area of improvement:
Stop mixing regular biryani rice with meat pieces — make authentic biryani per dish.
Improve restroom cleanliness.
Better chicken dish quality.
It was a memorable visit because of the rain, but food-wise, there’s...
