Disappointing Experience at Spice It - IBIS "Our recent visit to Spice It - IBIS in Hyderabad was a major letdown, particularly given the significance of the occasion – a birthday celebration with over 20 guests. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by several issues that detracted from what should have been a memorable event.

Key Issues: Limited and Inconsistent Buffet Options: The buffet menu was restrictive, and our request for lachha paratha was denied despite it being served earlier by another waiter. This inconsistency in service was puzzling and disappointing. Non-Functional AC: The air conditioning was not working, and despite multiple requests, the issue remained unresolved. This added to the discomfort of our guests. Unhygienic Food Handling: The most concerning issue was the commingling of veg and non-veg salads, with shared serving spoons. This raised serious concerns about food safety and hygiene standards.

Staff Attitude and Justification: The wait staff's attitude was unhelpful, and their justification for the issues was unconvincing. When we pointed out the shared serving spoons, the staff member justified it by citing a 2-inch height difference between the veg and non-veg plates, which was not a valid reason for compromising food safety.

Conclusion: Given the group size and the occasion, the experience was particularly disappointing. To improve, Spice It - IBIS needs to focus on:

I have gone here for a office party, its in ground floor in IBIS hotel, Hyderabad. Quite near to cyber towers. They gave decent parking of both 2 and 4 wheelers.

Coming to ambience: Its a decent one. Small place with some roughly 15 tablets. For Small gathering we can prefer it. We were around 18 people, went before few days to reserve it. But looks wise it gives classy and decent look.

Food: dont expect big menu as AB'S and barbeque nation. Its a decent one with 2 veg and non veg starters, 1 veg and 1 non veg soup, 2-3 veg curry and 2 non veg curry. 1 veg biryani and 1 non veg biryani, plain rice, dal, curd rice, papad, on order they get variety of naan we ordered butter naan and garlic one. Both were good. 2 deserts, salads are varies. Im not sure everyday there will be same menu hence not sharing that days menu. In my point every dish was excellent and felt very homely and comforting. We also have welcome drinks as complimentary as mocktails per head 1 for free.

Price: we went with 18 people and the bill was around 10k which was decent. Actual bill was 20k we booked it with swiggy and we got 50% off so got for 10k.

Service- its purely self serving. On demand they serve on plate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Welcoming with smiling face and warm.

Seating- regular table and chairs. But i was expecting more confort here as sofas as we planned dinner in abs before.

Overall experience is good. Sitaram is the one who is serving lunch. He helped us to go over the buffet option available. But we preferred to go ala-carte. The food quality was very good. The highlight of the lunch is desert Mud chocolate walnut. Our package also included breakfast. I would like to mention there are a lot of variety options available. Customers should have lunch or dinner so that you can enjoy the service and the nice atmosphere.

Below are some points if you are able to look into it, You can provide more options in ala-carte so that customers coming to your hotel can think of having lunch and dinner more. During the couple night stay I opted for Delux Queen Bed for 2 adults and 1 child. Not sure if it's really a queen bed we feel like a normal double bed. My room number is 703. You have provided the tea, coffee sachets but it doesn't have any milk powder sachet. Are you not providing them?
