‘Avo Cafe’ located at the bylanes of jubilee hills is the latest addition of the list of exemplary breakfast places that a foodiphile needs to experience. The cafe has both a spanish outdoor patio seating overlooking the lush green garden and a contemporary calm indoor setting with shades of pastels for the patrons. The cafe servers a plethora of hassle free, quick serving soul food around the world that matches the taste palate of the city for all generations.
We were invited to a blogger’s tasting table and the review of the restaurant is as follows.
We started the breakfast with a refreshing ‘Dirty Shirley’ that had Pomegranate juice, apple juice, lime and sugar. The ‘Phyllo cups’ were perfectly flaky and crisp, loaded with oats, fresh veggies loaded with sour cream and avocado. The ‘Blueberry Waffles’ had perfectly crisp waffles loaded with fresh strawberries and mulberries, smeared with blueberry compote and finished with dusting sugar, some micro greens and apple syrup. The ‘English Breakfast Platter’ is another heathy option to opt for, toasted brown breads, roasted baby potatoes, sauté spinach, baked beans with an omelette. The ’Souvlaki Grill Chicken’ is a must order here, slow grilled chicken marinated with fresh Italian herbs served with the spicy chimchuri dip made from cilantro, thyme, garlic and olive oil. The classic Egg Benedict’ served here consisting of two halves of an English muffin, each topped a poached egg that is runny and perfectly poached. The ‘Mediterranean Bowl consisted of spicy chickpeas, beetroot brown rice, salsa and avocado sour cream, perfect for the heath conscious. The ‘Korean Bao’ were pillowy sot wrapped over the amazingly succulent yet crispy sweet, sour and spicy chicken. The roasted Garlic Pizza had a thin crust, loaded with pomodoro cheese, roasted garlic chicken, fresh basils and olive oil, absolutely droolworthy. We ended the meal with the classic ‘French Toast’ layered one on top of another, perfectly crispy on the top, spongy in the middle, smeared with a blueberry compote and finished with some dusting sugar, honey, fresh cut fruits and micro greens. Their signature ‘Special Pour Me Up’ had fererro rocher sponge cake, cookie crumbs, ice cream and dark chocolate Belgian chocolate sauce that is such a beautiful mess that one needs to definitely order here. . Read moreThe scene of Hyderabadi food outlets has become interesting over the past few months with so many cafes opening up. Avo café has recently opened up near Rayalseema Ruchulu in the ever buzzing area of Jubilee Hills. I went over this place a few days back along with my pals to taste some of its finest dishes.
The place has got a lovely ambience to it thanks to the well contrasting colour combinations and two relatively huge sitting spaces.
The menu is quite diverse over here with close to 130 dishes and beverages to offer. Mind-blowing stuff. For beverages, I had tried out their Red Blaze, Guava Mary, Ooh la la and Spicy mint mocktails.
The Red blaze mocktail was a nice blend of Freshly squeezed watermelon juice, cranberry juice, apple juice and crushed basil. I felt this one be a quite refreshing and well-balanced beverage. Must try.
Next up, the Guava mary had a familiar blend of Guava Juice, Mango Juice and Jalapeno. Decently done. The Ooh la la was something new for me with Grapefruit juice, Pineapple juice, Elderflower petals and Rosemary smoke. Certainly meant for those who want to experiment with their mocktails.
The spicy mint mocktail was prepared using fresh Avocado, Apple juice, Jalapeno and Black pepper. The only thing coming out of this drink was the spice. They can slightly improve on this one.
For food, I had given a shot to their Korean Paneer Bao, Truffle fries, Veg Pad Thai noodles and Truffle mushroom sourdough pizza.
Korean Paneer Bao was something special. Bite-sized Baos were stuffed with a delicious filling of Korean inspired paneer topped with sesame seeds. This one should not be missed at all.
Truffle fries were another gem of a dish. I was slightly hesitant at the time of ordering this one but trust me, this one would surely surpass your expectations. In addition to truffle and cheese, the fries were served with a cream cheese sauce which made it taste sensational. Highly recommended.
Veg Pad Thai Noodles were given a nice twist with the addition of roasted sweet potato chunks served alongside the noodles. The consistency of the noodles was spot on and the pad thai sauce gave a pretty nice spicy kick after each bite. I would still love this with slightly more crushed peanuts. Otherwise, I can eat this dish all day.
Truffle mushroom sourdough pizza was a hearty pizza prepared using fresh Pomodoro sauce, Caramelized mushroom, Arugula and Truffle over sourdough. The result came out to be fantastic for me. I would certainly expect the crust to be slightly less thick.
For dessert, I had their Mille Feuille which was a classic three-strip puff pastry sandwich filled with a delicious Avocado Bavarian cream. Overall, Avo café has an ample range of food choices and given the price point for the quality of stuff it offers, this place is a must-visit....

Pastel colour walls, pretty furnitures and cute corners makes it one of the insta worthy cafes of Hyderabad. The moment you step in, it feels like you're in a doll house. This place is huge with drinks counter (They don't serve alcohol) and patisserie with lovely desserts.
Food is little expensive and the portion size served is small. The food is good but can be improved in some areas.
