The Bar Project — Restaurant in Hyderabad

While most of the party scene has been localised particularly in Jubilee Hills for this city, it's places like The Bar Project who is keeping the spirits alive in Begumpet region. Started out just a couple of months back, the place is located right inside the Country Club sporting a clean, minimal ambience and ofcourse paired with a delightful food and drinks menu. Best part - the dishes are priced really competitive! From my visit to this one a few days back, the dishes i liked the most had to be

1.) Kele Ke Patte Mein Chatpati Macchi - Succulent, flaky fish with a delectable tangy & spicy marinade came wrapped in a banana leaf keeping the juices sealed. 2.) Tawa Khumb Aur Cheese Spring Roll - Griddle tossed earthy mushrooms wrapped in with cheese and fried to perfection. One of the best veg dishes for the night! 3.) Chicken Ghee Roast - Always a personal favourite of mine having the regional flavours mingling with the chicken in oodles of ghee. The parantha on the bottom could have been a bit softer though. 4.) Zafraani Jhinga - My pick from the non vegetarian side having shrimps marinated in a yogurt base infused with saffron and grilled to perfection. 5.) Mutton Keema Pulao - Another delightful main dish sporting a well done tawa pulao loaded with fried onions and ghee and ofcourse, flavourful mutton keema...

We were a group of 8 women who went for lunch, and we loved everything about the place. The starters were delicious and came at a pace which ensured we could do justice to each of them. The waiters were knowledgeable and helped customise the drinks. Service was unobstructive. It was when we wanted to take a group photograph at the bar that the quality of service really showed up as ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Four service staff swung into action and together ensured we got exactly the photographs we wanted. It is indeed rare to find this level of enthusiasm. The poolside ambiance was perfect. The only feedback would be to have coolers that are less powerful- the jet of air messed up our hair continuously. Created many happy memories here and certainly a place I will revisit.

Visited the place again and it was a very disappointing experience. The fans were not working and though the place was almost empty we were not allowed to sit at a table we wanted. The sauces came in plastic and though we said we prefer crockery, the next order too was accompanied by plastic pouches. Servers demanded a tip, though there was a service charge already levied- when we asked we were told that is for the cleaners not for them. What next? Charging rent? Drinks too were...

Bar project:

An amazing new place in Begumpet in the same premises of concu is bar project. This beautiful place is decorated with pastel colours which will make you feel good as soon as you enter the place. This place has both outdoor and indoor seating with a well stocked up bar counter. The outdoor seating has a eye catching view of the pool and the beautiful sky . I’ve been to this place with a group of friends for dinner. The staff at this place are courteous and friendly.

Food:

Orange martini: This vodka based cocktail is a pleasant drink and has good flavour of orange pulp blended perfectly with alcohol. The presentation of this drink is very appealing and beautiful too.

Apollo fish: The fish was fresh,soft and tender with proper amount of spices.This flavourful dish is a must try at this place.Served in small steel tiffin boxes made the presentation unique and also cute.

Chilli paneer: The paneer was soft , succulent and juicy with a flavourful marination,a perfect one to go with drinks .
