THIS UDUPI HOTEL IN SR NAGAR IS VERY OLD I AM OFF & ON VISITING THIS HOTEL FROM A VERY LONG TIME SAY 15 YRS + I HAD TASTED MANY OF THEIR ITEMS THE ORIGINAL FOUNDER. OWNER HAD PASSED. AWAY SOME YRS BACK, I THINK HIS GOOD NAME IS MR. Disappointing Experience After Renovation

I visited Hotel Udupi Home at 9:30 PM today and ordered 2 plates of parota (₹75 each), 1 onion dosa (₹75), and 1 plate of idli (₹40). While the prices are reasonable compared to today's market, I was extremely disappointed with the staff behavior at the self-service counter and the quality of the food.Having known this hotel since 2006, I was once a fan of their parota. However, the taste has significantly deteriorated post-renovation. The parota was poorly made and cooked, a stark contrast to the delightful flavors I remember. It seems the cooking team has changed, and it shows.When I expressed my disappointment to the owner, mentioning that we both know how good the food used to be, he just smiled and moved on without any response. This lack of concern from the management was disheartening.I hope they take customer feedback seriously and work on improving both the food quality and staff behavior. Udupi Home is the best Tiffin Center in S.R.Nagar for the past 15 years. I had food here in my school then later in my college and now even when I'm working. The taste of every food item is absolutely delicious. For breakfast I suggest idly, Masala Dosa, Ravva Dosa. For lunch Meals, parotta. And for dinner Idly, dosa, chapati with their signature Korma. Special mention to Chole Bhatoore, Filter Coffee & Double ka meetha🤤. The whole premises is very tidy and regularly cleaned. In the midst of COVID they are taking all the necessary precautions by wearing masks, maintaining distance and more. There is enough place to park your 2 wheeler and ample space to have your food.
