Asteria — Restaurant in Jaipur Municipal Corporation

VERY BAD BEHAVIOR BY THE MANAGER TOWARDS WOMEN. MISBEHAVING MANAGER NOT WORTHY OF THE JOB. Strictly suggest women to stay away from this place as no one cares to keep the staff behaviour in check since the Manager himself is the worst at this. The owner can contact us if he is concerned.

Just after we paid the bill and were enjoying the ambiance of the restaurant, a man came from nowhere and asked my fiancée to sit down in a rude gesture instead of asking her politely. He tapped the table loudly with the glass a few times behind her instead of coming and talking politely. We did not accept this behavior and revolted. When asked to reveal his identity, he stated he's just a servant and gave us a fake name as Mr. Akshay Sharma. At the same point when asked to give the number of the owner, he fled inside the kitchen and never came back. After asking the other staff members we came to know that the person was actually the Manager at Asteria with the name Mr. Tej. So, this man misbehaves, argues, gives a fake name and then runs away. We waited for him to come back and apologize to my fiancée properly, but he never showed up.

The other staff members at the desk ensured that they would put us in contact with the owner and just asked us to go and leave the matter, it's been more than a week now and nobodycontacted us to take a followup. This means this kind of behavior is quite common here and nobody cares. The thing is why did this man have a problem with someone just standing and leaning against a table. This shows the mental character of this guy towards women and that he has a problem...

Average food, below-average ambiance, and cold service.

Summary: Hearing praise from a friend, I went to this place on my birthday. To my surprise, the ambiance was similar to an average cafeteria/bar. The staff was so cold and almost paid no attention to detail or making us feel welcomed. We sat in a corner and just ate. To top it all off, the music was pathetic and so loud!! All of this could have been put up with, provided the food served was extraordinary, but alas! It was terrible.

Nothing exceptional. I couldn't even differentiate the last two flavors on the list.

So i will call it as a so so experience. They have recently started their brewery. I tried fresh beer samples here. There were total of 6 samples which costed 245 Rs only. I have traveled across India and never found a chargeable beer samples anywhere. I can’t imagine the flavour of pineapple and coffee in my beer which was pathetic and tasted like juice. I found Belgian beer perfect for me which costed me 275 Rs for 330 ml. The staff there is very ignorant. Orders take time to reach. For another round of beer we ordered 3 times to different waiters and then it arrived. I don’t know what they do after taking orders(they forget it) and you have to remind them that you ordered beer 15 minutes ago. When we were waiting for bill they gave the wrong bill. I ordered only 4 beers but the bill arrived with 6 beers in total so we asked them to correct it. For which we waited for another 15 minutes to pay the bill. This was a lethargic process tbh. I am only giving 3 stars for the taste of beer. Otherwise the outside sitting arrangement here sucks totally. It’s crowded. You won’t be at peace. Chairs are really uncomfortable. They really need to come up with better seating arrangement. It gets crowded very much. Will not suggest...
