I recently had the pleasure of dining at Biriyani By Kilo, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambience that set the stage for a truly delightful meal.

Extremely Disrespectful Behaviour by Manager – Never Visiting Again Despite Loving the Food !!! (Whole story ⬇️)

I’ve been a loyal Biryani By Kilo customer for years – from Agra, Delhi, to Mumbai – and always loved their food and ambiance. But my experience at the Jaipur Vaishali Nagar outlet (Queens Road) was deeply disappointing and insulting.

I had booked two tables via the Dineout app, which clearly mentions you can dine for up to 4 hours. My partner and I visited around 12 PM, had a great meal (~₹1500+ bill), and were simply sitting and working quietly (we work from home). The place was completely empty, and we even placed additional drink orders while seated.

Then came the shock: the manager, Shailendra, rudely approached us multiple times, pushing us to pay the bill and leave — not once, but repeatedly — in a completely unprofessional and arrogant tone. Even when we offered to shift tables or order more food, he denied service and bluntly said “Just leave now.” His expressions and body language were aggressive and extremely unwelcoming — as if we were doing something wrong just by sitting there.

To make it worse, he claimed the place was closing for cleaning. But minutes later, we saw 5–6 new customers being seated inside. So clearly, it was a lie just to throw us out.

All of this was captured on their CCTV, and I’ve clicked his photo in case Biryani By Kilo corporate wants to investigate. No couple, no customer deserves to be treated this way — especially when we were respectful, paid well, and were not occupying any space unfairly.

I’m writing this with genuine disappointment — not because of the food, but because of one manager’s ego and mistreatment that ruined our entire Biryani By Kilo experience. If this is the kind of behavior allowed by BBK, I will never visit again, and I will be sharing this...

The eatery lives by its name. The taste, aroma, presentation of freshly made authentic biriyani leaves your palate wanting for more-- to eat it by kilos. It was on a Sunday afternoon that me and my wife decided to visit this eatery for lunch-- parking was a breeze-- and we were greeted by a great ambiance and a friendly staff. The biriyani is freshly prepared after you have placed your order-- so expect a waiting time of 30 min-- when you can experiment with starters and freshly made lemonades. The biriyani was presented in a exquisite earthen pot with the lid still intact with the -- dum atta lining-- and it is a pandora box when you open the lid-- succulent meat chunks, long grained fragrant basmati rice cooked to perfection awaits you with accompaniments of - Mirchi ka salan. At an approximate cost of 600/ per person -- you are guaranteed a exquisite experience of a sumptuous lunch-- with promise to visit again.
