The first thing you will notice about Starbucks is the aroma. It is probably the only coffee shop I have seen where an equal importance is laid to the smell the ambience food and coffee. Every other cafe picks one of these and none of them probably even assume that the smell of roasted coffee in a cafe would be tantalizing at all.
Ambient Interior- As soon as you enter the cafe a distinct coffee aroma overtakes you. The interior is woody and it looks as if a sepia filter is added to your vision as soon as you enter the store. The other peculiar thing one can notice is the seating arrangement. An unwritten rule but you tend to choose the seating arrangement based on the motive with which you enter the store. Segmentation based on seating arrangement. There are so many varieties of seating available. Short stubs, bar stools tall chairs royal king like chairs with arm rests student hostel like simple flat wooden chairs sofa couches long tables 2 seaters round tables square tables what not.
Coffee : Ok to be straight there are not many variations of beverages as I expected. Only the standard stuff nothing out of the box as of now at least. I first taste the espresso where ever go to get a feel of the quality of the beans used and the class of the barista in pulling the shot. End of day an espresso shot is what determines how the other beverages taste. The espresso was full body I should say. It was good dark and deep in flavour. More hints of sweetness to it and had a great smoky after taste which was very good. All other beverages were fairly good nothing shot out at me. The Choco java was very good with a krushers like texture to it. The main thing to take note is probably that the sizes which Starbucks provide are great. The regular or the tall as it is called provides a decent dose which is fairly sufficient on an average day. There are three more sizes after this and just imagine even with a 20% increase it reaches 70% more than what the normal is.
Service - India is a country of queues and a new one got added courtesy Starbucks. I would mind a self-service but the whole procedure is so complicated.

Either you visit one in US or India there will be certain similarity and that is the reason people like them so much. This was my fourth visit to this particular starbucks in jaipur and every single time they have served and conducted poorly. A) there is always chaos at billing counter, even if there are handful people B) if you order a cappuccino, there will be zero effort to make it look presentable. Foam will be pathetic and so will be the taste C) dirty washrooms with mop and dusting cloths hanging around D) unhygienic trays and tables E) Ill trained, arrogant and badly mannered staff. Was so happy to see a starbucks coming over at this place and what a shame it is
Second update- went again yesterday on my daughter's demand. Was keeping my fingers crossed for some better service however it was a bigger disappointment than last time : My kid asked for a refresher drink which she had had before, I requested the staff to not add ice as kid was down with cold. I asked her 3 times, is it available without ice? Can you make it without ice? For all I got 'yes' as an answer. Our order is ready ...a tall glass filled to the brim with ice. My 5 year old is squealing with happiness & I am looking at the staff. She is telling me "I just added few ice cubes to make it cooler"- what part of not adding ice one cannot understand? Any other developed country would have sued this place because it made their kid sick...there was no one other than my kid n me in the shop & yet they managed to goof up the order This place is a sham & should be closed till staff is re trained for better services. Read moreNot a good experience as far as service is concerned. We could get better service in a local coffee shop.We went first time on my daughter’s demand and got a very bad experience. There were some goof ups done by the staff. 1) we ordered through the app and asked for paper cups only as we wanted to move later but they provided in mugs/glass !! 2) first time they have provided the coffees on the table but when we told them to change in paper cups as we ordered they told us to get it from counter itself (which is not a good etiquette). 3) they goofed up in a order. We ordered Jawa chip Frappuchino but got normal frappuchino !! how come such a mistakes happen by such a big brand. they are charging for the good experience only. Coffee you can get from any cafe !! And store hygiene is also not good.Sofas were dirty.
