Some South Indian festival is going on so the restaurant is serving south Indian themed buffet - all staff dressed up in South Indian attire. The buffet spread is not lavish but sufficient. The interiors are simple and looks elegant.
Tried :
Caesar salad : I was quite amazed to see Caesar salad in some buffet menu in Jaipur. Caesar salad tasted average as there was too much mayonise in it. So asked the chef to prepare a fresh one with less mayonise and according to my palate and he prepared quite a good one too.
Fried Idlly : Idlly was very hard and not soft at all plus there was too much oil in the Idlly. Also the veggie salsa with Idlly was very spicy.
Charred tomatoes : Tomatoes were raw and there was not even Charr on them.
Dahi Bhalla : Dahi Bhalla was fresh and refreshing. The Bhalla was spongy and light.
Sprouts : Sprouts were not cooked perfectly. They also provided ingredients if you wanted to make a sprout chaat.
Veg Manchurian and Noodles : Manchurian gravy was little bit on thinner side but it tasted good. Manchurian balls were very dry from inside. Noodles were cooked perfectly and tasted great but they could have been better if the noodles were hot.
Cheese and Baked Potatoes : The potatoes were slightly overcooked so the whole combination became a bit soggy and didn't tasted good.
South Indian inspired Chilli potatoes : They were crispy and you could taste the south Indian spices in it. Overall it was good.
Veg soup : The soup was tasteless and it was also became cold.
Veg Pulav and Steam Rice : Veg Pulav was average but the steam rice was not good at all.
Dal Pudhina Tadka : The lentils were mashed up too much and the dal became like a Thick paste but it tasted very nice.
Missi and Tandoori Rotis : Rotis served were hot, crispy and light.
Nimbu Pani and Butter Milk : Nimbu pani was good but little bit on the sweeter side. Butter Milk was very refreshing and tasted delicious.
Moong Dal ka halwa & Vercelli Kheer - Halwa was good and kheer tasted average as the milk was not cooked perfectly as it should be cooked for kheer.
Fresh fruits included Watermelon which was fresh and tasty, papaya and Musk melon.
Service was good in the starting but it became quite slow...
Read moreI would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the restaurant in Jaipur. Me and my family reached late for check-in, and even though we were late for the restaurant too, the staff welcomed us so warmly. Special thanks to Bhumi and Ankit, who greeted us so gently and treated us with great kindness.
We were really hungry and worried about being late, but still, they served us fresh and warm food with such care. Their hospitality made us feel so comfortable, and I truly loved the service.
Highly recommended for their food and...
Read moreThis is the All day dining restaurant of Fern Hotel. The ambience is pretty suave but the restaurant disappoints with its service. Way too slow for a high end restaurant. Average waiting time for an order is 30 mins (even for mocktails/Juices). This place serves one of the WORST pizzas I’ve had in Jaipur. Other than that, the staff is courteous and polite, and the Indian selection is pretty delicious.
Must Try: Paneer Tikka, Cheese...
