Sirka — Restaurant in Jaipur Municipal Corporation

I had high expectations for Sirka but was sorely disappointed. My family and I visited on my mother’s birthday, hoping for a special meal, but unfortunately, it fell short in almost every way.

The food was the biggest letdown. We ordered multiple dishes, but none seemed to hit the mark. The soup was excessively salty, and when we raised this with the staff, they attributed it to the soup possibly cooling down. Other dishes ranged from being completely bland to excessively spicy, even by my standards—and I enjoy spicy food. There seemed to be no balance in the flavors at all.

Beyond the food, the ambiance didn’t help either. There was an unpleasant odor, and the place seemed to lack proper ventilation. Even the walls were damp in spots, adding to the discomfort.

To top it off, the service wasn’t up to par. It’s a shame since we were looking forward to a special occasion, but the experience fell far below our expectations. In comparison, even Sagar Ratna upstairs would have been a far...

Verdict: Do visit this place for the presentation of food. Quality of the food & the ambiance! But remember, the finesse is what is slightly missing.

Have heard of this place quite a few times in the past and it has been on my list ever since.

Our order: Starter: Chicken Tikka (Some version of it) Great Presentation. Great Taste. Cooked to perfection and presented beautifully!

Main Course: Champaran Meat: Served in a Pressure Cooker. Nice juicy meat, cooked well and with adequate gravy.

Lahori Style Kadhai Chicken: Nice chicken but I must tell you, the kadhai is only for looks.. this chicken wasn't cooked in the kadhai. Nevertheless, it was a good chicken.

Disappointment: They had hired 'Kalbeli Dancers' for a show but the only thing the kalbeli Dancers' were doing was just move a bit to ask for money. It happened to an extent it was a disturbance while dining for our meal.

We had a regretful experience. Went for dinner with the family, where even after reservation, we had to wait for the table for almost 15 mins. Once we got the table, the ordeal continued. For a simple water bottle we had to request multiple staff members. There was no clarity on the process to place orders, while one said online orders are accepted, one came and said we accept only in person orders. The starters came without the sides, and again we had to ask so many people to provide the same. On highlighting the issue, the staff kept on giving excuses, rather than solving the problem. After 30 mins of waiting for the order, they informed that they are out of ordered items. We requested to meet the manager, who never showed up!
