A Disastrous Dining Experience. I had the unfortunate experience of dining at Castles Barbecue, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts to warn others. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this was going to be a regrettable meal.

First, let's talk about the food—or, rather, the lack of it. The dishes were not just bland, they were unimaginably tasteless. It’s as if the chef had forgotten what seasonings were, or worse, had decided to leave flavor out of the equation entirely. I tried a couple of dishes: a grilled chicken that was overcooked to the point of being tough and dry, with no hint of any seasoning or marinade. The pasta was a sad, mushy pile of noodles that seemed to be floating in a watery, flavorless sauce. Even something as simple as a garden salad was disappointing—wilting lettuce with tasteless, overripe tomatoes, topped with what seemed to be a bottle of expired dressing.

Now, I understand that not every meal will be a five-star experience, but when food is this bad, it leaves me questioning basic kitchen practices.

But, unfortunately, the poor food was only the beginning. As I continued to sit there, trying to force myself to eat, I noticed something much more disturbing: cockroaches. Yes, cockroaches. Not just one, but several were scurrying around the restaurant, some even making their way near the food stalls. I tried to ignore them, hoping they were just a minor nuisance, but as the meal progressed, more roaches appeared, and my appetite completely vanished. The fact that these pests were so visible in a place that’s supposed to be serving food is a major health concern.

The restaurant’s cleanliness left much to be desired as well. The tables were sticky, and the floors appeared dirty, which only worsened the atmosphere. It was evident that hygiene was not a priority here.

The service wasn’t much better. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. Our server barely acknowledged us, and when we asked for something, it was met with an indifferent shrug. For the kind of experience we had, it felt like the staff was just going through the motions without any care for the customers.

By the time I left, I couldn’t help but feel disgusted—not just by the food but by the overall lack of attention to the basic standards that should be expected in any restaurant. If you value your health, your taste buds, or even just a pleasant dining environment, I highly suggest avoiding this place at all costs.

In conclusion, this place is a disaster in every sense. From the inedible, tasteless food to the alarming presence of cockroaches, this restaurant offers nothing worth experiencing. Save your money and your stomach—there are far better dining options...

12 Jan 2025, lunch: we were there for a special occasion celebration. This is how this restaurant ruined it for us.

1. To start with there was a cockroach on the table. I informed the waiter about it. He removed the cockroach off the table with his hands and continued to serve with the same unwashed hands. I informed the lady standing at the booking counter. She was least concerned. I had to forcefully ask them to replace the grill.

2. The plates had broke edges, when we requested them to replace the plate. They informed that all the plates have broken edges.

3. They did not had cutlery at the table. Even after 200 reminders over the next 2 hrs, we got none.

4. They serve the chutney in small glass jars. We requested for a tea spoon to serve the chutney. They said they have none and we need to pour it directly from the jar. Left with no choice, we did it. By the time 2-3 of us poured it. The jar was too dirty to hold. So barbeque without chutney for me.

5. The food was cold as if someone got it from the freezer. Despite repeated reminders, they did not bother to serve hot or atleast warm food.

6. My cousin was told by the manager that they cannot take care of all the guests at the same time. So we have to manage with whatever we are getting. I was blown away by his audacity.

7. The plates at the buffet were wet so much so that the tissue paper was insufficient to wipe off the water. So no buffet for me unless I choose to take the cold food in wet plate. Of course I did not eat anything.

8. At the dessert counter, they had one serving spoon for all the desserts. U can imagine how messy it would have been. Since I m particular about not mixing tastes of two flavours. I could not have the desserts. Remember we did not had cutlery at our tables too.

By this time, I wanted to go to a near by market and buy some cutlery set to donate to this restaurant. Poor guys charging 1200 per plate still not enough to provide cutlery to the guests.

9. Amongst all this, the manager was chilling. Standing at the corner and enjoying the wet plates, no cutlery, cold food scenes.

I don't think so I m able to express my feelings well. In short, I felt humiliated as a customer.

So if you guys want to host a party here. I request you to please reconsider your decision.

Worst Dining Experience – Extremely Disappointed

I recently visited this barbecue restaurant, and it turned out to be the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Despite informing them in advance about the number of guests, they failed to provide adequate seating arrangements, which was embarrassing for me and inconvenient for my guests.

The service was completely unacceptable. The staff was insufficient and inattentive. Basic essentials like spoons, forks, glasses, and water bottles were not provided unless we asked multiple times. Even then, they were slow to respond, and it felt like they weren’t listening at all.

The barbecue serving was extremely disappointing. They only served 2-3 items, which is far fewer than what was promised on the menu. We had to repeatedly request them to serve the barbecue items, which ruined the experience for my guests.

The buffet was another disaster. There was a shortage of crockery, and my guests had to wait for plates and spoons to be brought in from the kitchen. This lack of preparedness and organization is unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to offer a premium dining experience.

To make matters worse, when I brought up these issues with the staff, they didn’t even acknowledge the problems. They refused to offer any compensation or adjustment in the bill for the poor service and experience. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

Overall, the poor service, lack of basic arrangements, and the unprofessional attitude of the staff left me and my guests completely dissatisfied. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone and hope they take immediate steps to improve their...
