Got craving for Non-veg. This is your ultimate destination.. There are like 100s of non veg appetizers, dishes, and rice items. I just got lost seeing the menu.

Well there are Veg dishes too just to let you know :-P.

Lets talk about the ambience and interior.. -Its an open area restaurant. And got enough dining space. The lightings are gorgeous.. Perfect for family dinner or friends reunion.. It has that much space to accommodate a big group of people.

Staff is really well mannered and disciplined. And has good and kind speaking tone, and has smile while letting you know what is preferred by the people. Service is fast enough.. Well it was fast when we went though.

Finally lets come to the Food.

Must try appetizers. Try anything from tandoor section. Because its known for amazing tandoor dishes.

Main course -Really Good biriyaanis and there are really dozens of rice items... I'll list what we ate and are prefe by the public

Rice Chicken dum biriyaani Usual biriyaani with amazing masaala Chicken peshawari not an usual masaala.. You get tandoor masaala and tandoori chicken pieces in this one. Chicken dum biriyaani with charcoal special rice

Amazing naans and rotis or any tandoor breads .. Loved it

Dishes There are dozens of indian gravies.. I really can't tell what to try. Chicken kholapuri -for spicy lovers Butter Chicken -for non spicy people

Overall a worthy meal with amazing taste.

Note: if you are an animal lover.. There are pigeons, And aquariums, parrots, rabbit, turtles. And an albino cat . Do pet it while...

Not a very good experience at all. We ordered sweet corn soup and it tasted like a sweet cornflour kheer, total disappointment. Manchow was better but not up to the mark. Peshwari was a sad story. Chicken was not fresh, tangy for no reason, and salty too. Kolhapuri chicken and roti were ok. The waitress(lady) there does not know how to talk to the customer. I say this because I had a query on my bill and when I went to clarify she asked me if I do not have basic common sense of what a boneless chicken looks like and the one on the bone. Just because I asked them why I was charged a peshwari full chicken price when I had ordered fr a peshawari tikka. I was taken aback with her response but a nice guy at the counter handled the situation in a much better manner and...

This place is the number one indian restaurant in Manipal and udupi- I have been a customer for 2 years now, and the food is always the best in the city. There are ten for fifteen Indian restaurants much closer to my house, but I drive the extra distance for Charcoal food delicious food! This is my favourite restaurant. Charcoals Bbq s food is definitely the most enjoyable and favourable. Try the charcoal special rice special and Barbeque chicken. You will want to keep coming back for more. It also looks like they did a traditional look....
