We had lunch at this place and the prawns chilly was very delicious. Based on this experience, I ordered for home delivery, but was disappointed with the fact that when I enquired about the home delivery, I was told that the location where I stayed was close to thier place so it would be free delivery and then when I had ordered food they happened to charge delivery charges .They pretended to have never told that they have delivery charges. I don't appreciate the fact of not informing the customers with the right information. Also, the food ordered was not upto the mark as compared to what I had in the restaurant. This review is based on the home delivery. This food included Chicken Manchurian, Veg tomato, Lemon chicken, Squids, Hyderabad chicken masala gravy. I'm not sure about the biryani here as I heard a lot of appreciation for the biryani. But out of the items that I ordered only the tomato soup and Hyderabad chicken gravy was good. The ambiance at Charminar Restaurant is good, but the overall experience was disappointing.

Food Experience:

We were recommended the Andhra Chilly Biryani as we asked for something spicy. However, it wasn’t spicy at all, and the portion size was small with very tiny pieces of chicken.

For starter, we tried the Kodi Veppudu based on their suggestion. While it had a unique flavor and tasted good, it didn’t deliver on the spice level we were expecting. The portion was small with only 10-12 tiny pieces, which didn’t justify the high price.

Service:

The most disappointing part was the service. After finishing our meal, even though there were available seats inside, we were asked to vacate quickly because other customers were waiting. We hadn’t even settled our bill, and this kind of behavior felt quite rude and unwelcoming.

Overall Impression:

The food was decent but didn’t meet our expectations in terms of spice or quantity. The high prices and poor customer service overshadowed the experience. It’s a place with potential, but there’s a lot that needs improvement, especially in customer care and...

Ohh yes, the name sounds Hyderabadi right!! Yes, this is one which gives the flavours of Hyderabad.

I was doubting of going there, I know many love Hyderabadi biriyanis, I am not a great fan, it does not mean that they are not tasty.

Well, here, instead of the fish that I had in mind, we went for the biriyani, crossed fingers 😬.

The person took the order, gave suggestions, and it was peaceful. Waited for 5-10 mins and the plates arrived, with the starter, chicken dry, it was tasty… I was impressed.

Then came the biriyani, chicken biriyani, to my surprise, I felt tht the biriyani was really good. I appreciated my friends choice and we enjoyed it, later ordered a lime juice too.

When in Mangalore, even though fish is what will be preferred, I would suggest to try out this place.

I am sure you will not regret it. Ohh, this is not a place with the best ambience or huge place.
