Definite No during peak days/hrs
tl;dr Chaotic queue and sitting arrangements. Waiters just want to feed which is already ready/getting ready in bulk. Bad behaviour from waiters Fried rice and Dal tadka were okayish. Biriyani isn’t biriyani. It’s something else.
Sharing my experience Arrived on a long weekend at 8:30pm for dinner. Some people were already waiting for their turn since there were no tables available. There were 2 waiters in white shirt managing the so called sitting arrangement. There is no track of who is coming first and should get seats first. When asked waiters respond harshly that its in their mind. Many came after us and got seats early. It’s a whole chaos. Finally we got seats after 45mins and ordered food(fried rice, dal fry and manchurian). After 15mins the white shirt waiters came and told us only chicken biriyani is there. We were vegetarian so asked him to get us fried rice or else we would leave. Finally he agreed and left. After some time a family sat beside our table and ordered biriyani. To which the white shirt waiters came again to them and told this time that biriyani is not there and they need to eat fried rice(which was not present for us). In short they just want to feed which is getting ready in bulk. There were a lot of customers who waited in queue for hrs and then had to leave without eating because of scarcity of food which should have been informed to them while in queue. Our food came around 10:00pm and meanwhile we were just praying to get our ordered food. At the end we asked for Falooda as desert. One of the waiters came and said he will check and inform if its available. He came and informed us that it’s available and we placed the order. After 15mins another waiter came to inform us that it’s not available anymore. We payed the bill and left.
In summary during peak days/hours go on your own risk. The management is very poor and chaotic. Couldn’t review variety of food because of scarcity of items. Ate fried rice and dal tadka which were okayish. One of the neighbouring table complained a lot about Biriyani which was...
Read moreI'd visited this restaurant some 10 years ago and remember relishing Pepper Chicken back then. On my visit this time, I spotted that place and decided to give a try. The restaurant's look and appearance looked the same. There was parking available nearby.
This time, we reached around 6:30 p.m., which is typically a snack time. We were a group of 4 and collectively ordered Pepper Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Biriyani and a plain Dosa. Pepper Chicken was good. The pepper flavor was a bit mild though however after eating 2-3 pieces, the Pepper flavor was more evident and it tasted very good. Chicken Biriyani was average. Chicken Tikka masala took a bit longer to arrive and was decent too. Plain Dosa was just usual.
And then ended with a coffee. As per my preference, I requested for a slightly stronger coffee without sugar and that coffee was one of the best. Perfectly strong for my liking.
Prices were reasonable with that light meal costing around Rs. 650. Cards and UPI payment were accepted. Restrooms were clean and...
Read moreAfter deciding to take a day for sight seeing, we all took off after breakfast towards madikeri. We stopped in this place called Hotel Green Grand, recommended by local autorickshaw drivers, when we inquired for good seafood.
Very non-descript place, with a heavy overload of the local ground and tourists, and we soon realised why. The meal turned out to be fabulous, from the superbly juicy, saucy Chicken lollipop, the super fresh prawn pepper salt, to the seer fish fry.
For mains we ordered chicken fried rice, biriyani, Parota & gravy.
The biryani was Kerala Thalaserry style, tasted great, and the Kerala Parota with paneer butter masala was great too.
The service was quick, given the crowd that was there, we quickly finished off our meal and exited with a suleimani, infact my first, me & wifey fell in love with that.
We also ordered fish curry, rice too. A fabulous meal, very decent pricing, came around ₹2000, we went ahead contempt....
