One of Udupi's favourite restaurants. It serves both veg and non-veg delicacies with reasonable prices. They serve simple food with a touch of coastal flavours which makes the food amazing. Their Chinese cuisine and biryani is the most loved. I tried the capsicum chicken which was the best and I would surely recommend everyone to try it. Their chicken biryani (half) was also tasty with a good quantity containing 3 pieces of chicken. The chicken noodles weren't that great. Talking about the service, the service is reasonable i.e it's neither fast nor slow. Even the staffs are friendly. They also recommend to taste you the bestsellers which are definitely tasty. Since I visited the place during a renovation, I wasn't that satisfied with the ambience. But the place is surely going to be great once it's properly renovated. This place is usually crowded so you can contact them beforehand to reserve a table for you.

Hotel Swadisht at Udupi seems to be best if you want to try out their famous dishes - Chicken shawarma and grilled chicken 🍗 We had early lunch and ordered both the famous dishes and were left speechless. Good quality and nice preparation of food. The masalas and ingredients were also good making it favourable to eat. Enjoyed it with Coke making us thrilled for more. Later in the main course relished mutton biryani which was boneless and good juicy and succulent meat pieces. Raita and salan were also equally good. Best biryani we got to taste and satisfy our taste buds. Ambience was perfect and AC atmosphere made us feel comfortable. Need to have more visits to check other food items and not to miss out the hot grilled chicken 🐔

I'm a vegan, but my friends and colleagues are not. They opt for a Chinese combo and they rate it 4/5 There is a hell lotta menu for non vegetarians. For vegetarians I would suggest not to go for roti and curry since I've had bad experience on it. But surely panneer biryani is the best thing you can have in there. 5/5. Service and pricing both are good. It has almost all the varieties in veg and non veg.. Overall with Ambience, hospitality I would say 5/5 rating for this restaurant. Chinese combo has 2 chicken pieces and rice If you are fan of triple rice then you don't get noodles in it instead you get chicken soup rice with omlet . Try veg sizzler once. Pattis gravy is really good combo in it. 4/5. Photos in there.

We had been to the restaurant.Ambience ok.Staff friendly.Service slow.We had ordered paneer Tikka 8 pcs (taste ok , paneer soft but chutney was bland and quantity was also very less).Chicken Lolipop 8 pcs (taste good, chicken fresh and juicy and chutney tasted sweeter, again quantity less), Butter roti(OK, but size is smaller wen compared to price), Naan (very horrible it was more like papad , crisy).Mushroom tawa masala(tasty , quatity good according to the price , serves 3- 4 if u are eat in small portions).Would have rated 2.5 but no option.Also they use a lot of food colour in the gravies which colored my fingers to red.I was not able to remove it even after multiple washes with soap, warm water or lemon.

Swadist, a hidden gem in Udupi, has been my go-to spot for the past three years. It's a fantastic family restaurant, notable for its cleanliness and budget-friendly prices. The staff here are exceptional – the friendliest I've encountered in any Udupi hotel. Their service is top-notch, making every visit memorable. The food is absolutely delightful, with the Chinese combo being a must-try. Swadist is a fantastic place that I highly recommend for a wonderful dining experience

This restaurant is in the prime location, around 300 meters from Karavali junction. They have modified seating arrangements recently. Kitchen has been expanded and customer has to go to first floor for dining and it is cubicle kind of seating structure. They have plenty of food options. Shawarma and grilled chicken are famous dishes here. People working here are friendly. Parking space for 5 cars is available in front yard. If it’s occupied, you will have to park in the road.
