I mean the food was good, as usual. But the hospitality was very very very poor. It felt like we were not welcome. I am a regular here and a huge fan of their biryani. Actually, not just here but to Biryani Zone in particular- been to their 3/4 other branches as well.
We were welcomed by the staff in ground floor and directed to the fine dining section on the first floor as were 2 families together. Upon reaching, we requested for more seats as the number of people was higher than seats available on the suggested table. This was adjusted and we were happy. But what pursued after that was just not expected. The person taking the food order had his mask hanging on his neck rather than covering his nose and mouth. We were worried about the hygiene already. And to our surprise, he wasn't suggesting or replying to our questions on the taste, quantity or time needed for preparation of those items. Seemed like he couldn't be bothered less.
My worst part was him giving me a stare when I asked for some fun activities they used to keep like coloring papers etc for kids. He didn't even respond properly and have a nod with a 'psclh ' sound. I felt ignored. Later I was busy walking my kid whilst my companions were waiting for their main course and heard the same guy say: ' kya nautanki hain re isska' pointing to another table. I was shocked and thought he was talking about one of his staff members but to my surprise I later realised it was towards our neighboring table people who chose to cancel a biryani that they ordered. I understand orders once place cannot be cancelled but this surely was not the way to react to it. Translation in English: 'What is the dram with these people?'
This totally took me off and felt like I am never coming back again coz if I try ti imagine what he thought about me for asking a few requests, it gave me a fright đ±. All through our time at the restaurant, this guy never smiled, never made us comfortable and never wore his mask properly. Other waiters were fine.
Pros: Obviously food Adequate parking space Ambience Clean washrooms
Cons: Very bad experience with hospitality Need to improve customer service Felt a little expensive this time but may be it is just me...
Read moreVery disappointed with my experience at Biryani Zone, Electronic City. Firstly, they donât have a proper contact number listed â neither on their website nor on food delivery apps. Their family pack menu isnât available for online ordering, which is incredibly frustrating. I had to go through multiple other branches just to get the managerâs number, and even then, he was unreachable despite calling over 10 times.
One of the other branch managers helped me get in touch, but even then, the Electronic City manager didnât call back. After 40 minutes of trying, I finally reached him, only to be told he was âbusy in the kitchenâ and that there were no delivery bikes available. Then why have an online ordering system in the first place?
To add to the frustration, he didnât understand Kannada. This is Bangalore, and not being able to communicate in the local language is a serious concern for customer service. I had to switch to Hindi just to explain the issue. After all this, 20 minutes later, he messaged asking for the delivery address, saying the order would take another hour.
This was one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences Iâve had. Unresponsive, disorganized, and completely lacking in basic communication. Would not recommend ordering...
Read moreRVG Biryani Zone has definitely earned a spot on my list of go-to biryani places. I recently tried their Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, and it was a flavorful experience. The rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked, and the chicken was tender and well-marinated. The spice level was just right, offering a good kick without being overpowering. What I loved: Authentic flavors: The biryani tasted like it was made with traditional recipes and high-quality ingredients. Generous portions: The serving size was quite generous, making it a good value for money. Quick service: The staff was efficient and friendly, and the food arrived promptly. What could be better: Ambiance: The restaurant's ambiance is decent but could be improved. It's a bit basic and could use some more character. Sides: While the biryani was excellent, the accompanying sides were average. I would have liked to see more variety and better quality in the raita and salna. Overall, RVG Biryani Zone is a great option for biryani lovers. The food is delicious, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying and flavorful...
