I travel a lot and enjoy eating outside. Today i.e., on 22nd Nov 2025 I visited Madhuvan along with my family.
The hotel's amenities and food were definitely up to par, but the service left much to be desired.
The food at the hotel's restaurant was delicious and freshly prepared. The menu offered a wide range of options and I enjoyed Paneer Papdi Special, Tandoori Momos, Malai Broccoli Kebab.
Subzi Lucknowi Biriyani was not great but good. This needs to be little improved.
The strater plate should have been little bigger since the plates served to us were not sufficient to handle 3 types of starters.
However, the wait staff seemed to be having a bad day. Unfortunately, I didn't experience the warm hospitality that I've come to expect from hotels in this class. The waiters appeared to be in a rush and seemed annoyed.
What struck me as particularly odd was the complete lack of smiles or friendly banter from the staff. It felt like they were just going through the motions, without any genuine interest in making our visit.
While I would definitely recommend the hotel's restaurant for its tasty food, I hope that the management takes steps to address the service issues. A little bit of hospitality and warmth can go a long way in making a guest feel welcome and valued.
Recommendation: While the food is great, the hotel needs to work on its service. Perhaps with some additional training or incentives, the staff can provide the level of hospitality that guests expect from a hotel...
Read moreI've been to this restaurant a few times before. While the food has always been good, the hospitality needs to improve tenfolds if they wish for more diners to visit them. The staff was initially very welcoming. They made sure that we got our food on time but just as we began enjoying our meal, they started making frequent visits and asked us if we could eat faster because there were more people waiting outside. For the record, we had reserved the table for ourselves and ordered two south indian special thalis that we required atleast an hour to finish comfortably. Some of the complementary items that everybody else was being served initially were not served to us because they wanted us to leave early to make more space. We decided to oblige because it was lunch time and being asked to wait in line for 20+ mins for your food isn't nice at all. We were given finger bowls and a bill before we even finished our meals. Every two minutes, a new waiter would come to us and ask us to hurry up. Infact, they decided to call the next set of diners in before we got up from our table. The food no doubt was good but the poor hospitality and management made sure that the overall experience was terrible. This restaurant is apparently 'purely vegetarian' but I've seen them serve non-vegetarian diners in the same place a few times when their nearby non-vegetarian restaurant runs out of space and vice versa. Well, the lack of seating space can still be overlooked but the lack of good...
Read moreAway from home in a new city, we decided to celebrate our twins birthday with all our dear ones, while we were here in mangalore for a function. Further to google reviews, we narrowed down and decided to dine in Grand Madhuvan NX. Spoke to the manager, Mr. Sharad at noon to reserve the table for 15 of us. When we reached the spot for dinner, we were welcomed to an absolutely stunning arrangement in between the pure veg and Grand kitchen, one perfect spot just for ourselves to celebrate our party; with all our food coming from the pure veg kitchen. The food was slurp delicious! Of the Starters, we loved the paneer paapdi, tandoori paneer momos and Gobi manchurian the best! Of the main course, mushroom mutter curry, misoni Palak curry and corn baby corn curry were worth the mention! We were stuffed till our necks and yet found ourselves eating!
Though we got the cake from outside, the cake stand was decorated and ready. The staff were dotingly courteous.
A big shout out to Mr. Sharad and his entire team for making our time delightful...
