We were in a mood of going on a drive to Manipal on a Saturday night and a friend suggested Vitos immediately.

We are suckers for pizzas and without any second thought went to this place. Located at a prime location, this place is in the second floor. The place wasn’t very crowded and the service also was pretty good.

We tried the following dishes :

Marinara chicken tikka ₹ 259 (4/5) - Chunks of boneless chicken marinated in marinara sauce - tomatoes, olive oil topped with mozzarella cheese. This dish was pretty decent and I loved how the chicken was done. Just perfect!

farmhouse pizza ₹ 279 (5/5) - a six slice thin crust pizza - baked to perfection. Just love how thin the crust was yet so so well done. The toppings were generous given the cost. Not a veg pizza lover but this definitely is a try.

Roast chicken pizza ₹ 329 (4.5/5) - a thin sliced pizza with pesto sauce base. Felt it was under seasoned, but after adding the oregano and flakes it tasted good. Pretty good topping too. The best part is the base. Usually I feel full eating 2-3 slices of pizza but this was just the right way to do it. Could keep eating more and more.

Tres leches ₹159 (10/5) - this was the star of the night. The cake sponge and the milk were so so delicious. The best tres leches that I’ve tasted after eating in dubai. Also, the portion size was so good and Just at 159. You deserve a five star just for this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Will definitely come back for this.

Overall, a nice place to hang out with friends for a fun afternoon or weekend. Music is okay and they have cricket or any other sport playing on the Tv.

And the reviews in google which says it’s overly priced- guys you need to visit some cafés at mangalore which charge 400 for a tres leches!...

An absolutely fantastic place! The music is great, the ambience is warm and comfortable and the food and drinks are fabulous! The place is on the second floor but the location is quite easy to find.

The food options are plenty and everything we tried was delicious! Be it the squid rings or chicken bites or the Parmesan Prawns or the red snapper- it was cooked to perfection and filled with flavor and freshness! The recommendation of main course is surely the pizzas! They are perfect with a variety of options to choose from - we tried the Cajun and the barbecue chicken pizza and they were absolutely fantastic! The place also offers pastas (did not try) , salads and rice bowls and surely coming back to try those with some more pizzas!! The desserts were also surprisingly good! The berry panna cotta is a must try but there are also other options to choose from!

There is a full blown bar menu offering a the popular brands of alcohol and beers, there are shots and wine too!! The cocktails are great in quantity and presentation! It’s really worth the penny and the LIT was amazing.

The staff was very polite and courteous and the service was good. We did not have to wait for too long for the appetizers but the pizzas did take some additional time which is normal. Loved it!

There is no smoking inside but you can always take the table outside in the balcony (official smoke zone) and enjoy your food and drinks there!

The place is great to visit with family, a bunch of friends...

The best fine dining restaurant in the Manipal area. Cuisine is primarily Italian but you can also get some Indian items. Nice place for a weekend dinner with family.

Been here a couple of times, once to celebrate a cousin’s birthday.

They have an amazing range of cocktails and mocktails. Tons of appetizers as well with enough options for vegetarians. We ordered several appetizers. The cauliflower popcorn and the cheesy mushroom pesto are especially good. Spinach mushroom and cheese bruschetta on garlic bread is also quite good.

For the main course, they have mainly sandwiches, pasta, pizza and risotto. The caprese panini and the caramelized onions with mushroom panini are worth trying. The truffle oil pizza is out of this world! Never tasted anything quite like it.

We had an elder along so had ordered Biryani as well which turned out to be surprisingly quite delicious!

The service is quite fast and servers are polite, courteous and quite knowledgeable about the menu. Sometimes it’s best to ask them for advice if you’d like something that appeals to an Indian palate accustomed to spice.

The ambience is very classy and extremely photogenic.

Would definitely love to...

I recently dined at Vito's with my family of three and overall, it was a delightful experience. We kicked things off with the broccoli cheese fritters, which were absolutely divine—definitely a must-try! The chicken wings were another highlight; they’re a total game-changer you won’t want to miss. We also ordered the farmhouse pizza, which was quite good (though I still hold that Domino's has the best farmhouse pizza out there). However, the peri peri potato pizza left something to be desired—it felt more like ‘peri bye-bye’ than ‘peri peri,’ sadly killing my vibe. 😑 The ambience at Vito's is charming and perfect for dates or hanging out with friends. While my parents weren’t fans of the atmosphere, they raved about the food, so it definitely has its strengths! That said, I wouldn’t recommend this spot for locals; I have a hunch it might not be their cup of tea. The service was decent but could use some improvement—especially since there were only a few tables occupied. Overall, Vito's has potential but could step it up in a few areas!
