Please take your time to read what I've written:
I'll start with the food, we ordered a couple of beer, two pizzas (salami and chicken tikka), BBQ Chicken Wings, Beef Deep Fried (BDF), a lime soda (sweet and salt) and a brownie milkshake. I enjoyed the BBQ chicken wings, they were cooked well and tasted good too! The BDF was spot on and soft beef! Loved it! The chicken tikka pizza was brilliant and had flavours! Although the let down was the Salami pizza, for some reason, it felt bland! Lime soda that was requested was supposed to be sweet and salty but the salt was the dominating flavour and left a weird taste on the tongue. The Brownie milkshake NEVER came until we got our bill in hand and found that they charged us for the shake that never came, and after we told the manager this, he asked us to wait, we waited for 15 minutes thinking he's going to correct the bill BUT instead a waiter came with milkshake and said it's ready! Come on! We were about to leave the place and were waiting for the bill to be settled and our stomachs were full, the manager wasn't behaving like he should and even said he'll parcel the shake and send... That wasn't what we wanted! Come on! Should have corrected the bill and given that to us... NOT make the shake and come and say " have it and go " with a rude behaviour, that wasn't what we expected!! Besides, the food took a lot of time to get to the table! Each order had a huge time gap between them to arrive, lime soda arrived so late that I had a feeling the brownie milkshake would never arrive, and I was right! :/
About the ambience, it's got a scenic 360° view of Kottayam town and you can sit in the AC dining or outside or their root top tables and enjoy the night sky or watch the sunset! It's beautiful! I'll give you for that!! Brilliant! And the lighting inside or outside, it's moody and nice! The swimming pool is right there, makes you feel like " pool side dining " if you are inside the AC dining area.
Service, was BAD! The waiters, felt like they were so absent minded, they were in their own world, the manager who took our order, could have done a lot more to make us feel well and not be like " here, take it or I don't care " attitude, and also felt like they were in a hurry... :/ They take a long time to serve food, even longer time to get the bill and when they find something hasn't arrived yet, they'll make you wait just to get the stuff that's missing instead of correcting the bill. Damn!
*Overhead from the next table that they were so unhappy with their food and things were overcooked, the manager stood there, just nodded his head, said something and walked away. He could have done much better! :/
SERVICE and FOOD NEEDS TO BE WORKED ON!! Like by a LOT! This is NOT what you expect when you walk into a hotel with a rooftop bar! :/ :/ It was JUST an OKAY experience. Hoping they'll improve on this.. and will...

Recently my cousins and i went to sky bar arcadia for dinner. There were 7 of us in total. When we entered the area, there was only one free table (semi circle one) and we somehow squeezed in, hoping to get a bigger table after sometime.Although we searched the nearby seats, they were all occupied.We then ordered food and clicked a few pics.Once we came back, still there were no other free tables.So we thought to adjust, but the trouble happened once the food came. While all the 7 plates were kept on the table, half the space was gone. That’s when we noticed an empty long table towards the end.The people who were sitting there before, were leaving. So we requested the waiter for a change of table. He spoke to the manager (or whoever he is, an elderly man, in his 60s might be. He wore a black suit).But he seemed to ignore us. By then, they started bringing the food.We had ordered nearly 8-9 dishes and there was absolutely no place to keep all the food items. They themselves were struggling.We hardly had any space to sit properly and were squeezing against each other. We couldn’t even place our hands freely on the table either.But the manager was least bothered. After sometime he came and when we enquired about the free table, he said its already booked by someone else and cannot be given .I asked him to atleast provide us an extra chair and he denied that too,saying its not possible. He was rude and was giving us strange looks as if we asked something wrong.What surprised me the most was his reply to me in malayalam where he said “Vannu irunapo orkanamarnu!!”(which means you should’ve thought of it when you first came and sat itself) I was literally shocked at his response. Just because we are young people or what,he had the audacity to say that. Since the food was already made and we had to travel back to our houses, we din make a big scene over there and somehow managed to have our dinner .The “so called booked table” was later on seen to be occupied by a family of 4-5 members (which was much lesser than our number) So guys!! plz be aware the next time you take your friends or family to this place! I went and blocked 8 seats as soon as the others were billing there in the garment shop opp to the hotel since we need 8 seats . I myself took sometime to cross the road since there was heavy traffic. After waiting in the hotel for 10 mts. This man came and told i should wait outside if the others are yet to come because other customers are waiting. I said my group will come just now. I turned around and could find several seats including family seats of 6 laying empty.( you cud check the cctv inside the restaurant from 1 30 to 2 pm on 21 jan of cellar restaurant to verify this and whether there were any group standing outside without getting seats since i had blocked this 8 seats for us)i made sure my group is approaching and orderd a soup which others did nt need. When the manager approached me to take the order for the soup i said" they will be here now since its traffic they are trying to cross. They are just on the opposite side. If you need someone to occupy the seat i shall change to other seats".( pack of six seats and several pack of two seats were still empty, can verify if need)For this the man s reply was " i know how much traffic this road is having and its not at all an issue to cross here " it was lound arrogant and the other people were staring at me.(can understand its all buisiness and you can request a customer to shift the seat.. But can be polite. Not like we have just come for having free food)i was totaly taken aback. I had been to almost all restaurants with all type of star ratings in kottayam. Never had i faced such an issue and an arrogant behavior from a staff. Since me myself was the one heading the groom's side was the one who recommended the restaurant to the bride s party i remained calm and did nt respond in front of them.But it was a very insulting behavior.This is the first time.
