I recently had the most horrendous experience at this restaurant (I was in City for only few hours and had to catch a early morning flight), and I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction. I decided to have dinner at Ariya Nivaas on a Saturday evening (Today), hoping to enjoy a pleasant meal in the air-conditioned area on the first floor. Little did I know that this would turn into a nightmarish ordeal.
Upon arrival, I was informed that they don't usually accommodate single guests on busy days. However, I insisted on sitting in the AC area and was told to wait for approximately 30-45 minutes. Reluctantly, I agreed to wait, hoping that the delay would be worth it.
After about 15-20 minutes of waiting, the person at the reception who managed the queue suddenly changed their stance. They directed me to go to the second floor instead, only to be greeted by the incharge there, who bluntly refused entry, claiming that they could not accommodate single guests. Frustrated and confused, I decided to seek assistance from the manager and went downstairs to find him.
To my utter dismay, the manager seemed completely indifferent and uninterested in addressing my concerns. He appeared too preoccupied to spare a moment for the customers, leaving me feeling neglected and disrespected. It's truly astonishing how this establishment has managed to maintain a good rating when they treat their customers in such an appalling manner.
My overall experience at this restaurant was nothing short of a disaster. The lack of proper communication, the contradictory statements from staff members, and the apathetic attitude of the manager have left me deeply disappointed. I strongly advise others to reconsider dining at this restaurant, as the subpar treatment of customers and the apparent lack of professionalism indicate a severe disregard for their patrons'...
Read moreI have been going here for the last 10 years. The quality and taste has been consistent and continue to score 10 out of 10. The staff service is outstanding and mostly from tamilnadu.
The interior is good and they have non-ac ground floor restaurant, main ac first floor restaurant and a third floor ac block. The 3rd was mainly group bookings but it was open to all in my couple of visits this week.
They have the multi level car parking system. This needs some improvement. Once they select a parked car, it cannot be stopped to accommodate a car in a vacant spot.. So it is a mess. The staff is not ready to learn. They should probably select a vacant spot first before they select a parked one to avoid traffic jam in the narrow road. I am pretty sure there are multiple ways to do this. But the staff attitude is horrible. They are not ready to stop at a vacant spot to accommodate a car which is waiting. Their reason is the mechanism cannot be stopped once selected (which is hard to believe), if that is the case, why cannot they select a vacant first if the car is fae above.. It is just their...
Read moreThe food is so good. The kind of taste that one would expect from such vegetarian restaurants serving Masala Dosas and such cuisine. The chutney, sambar, Uzhunnu Vada ( Medu Vada), lunch, Poori Masala are all super tasty.
A major catch is the pricing. While individual pricing for items are fine, if you eat well the overall bill is sometimes not less than outrageous. In the range of Rs 365 for two sets ( 2 pieces of Pooris and two small thali bowls of curries make one set) of Pooris. That's sheet nonsense for a regular breakfast. Star-rated hotels even serve lavish breakfast buffet for Rs 500.
At Rs 33 a piece for an Uzhunnu Vada, if you have 4 of them with generous helping of chutney and sambar and tea it's a huge bill that will reach you for just your snacks. That said, the taste is excellent..
The lunch at Rs 150 is okay regarding the price but tastes great.
The tomato 🍅 soup which Ihad wasn't anything to recommend. May be this was a healthier version I don't know but it tasted bland. However the Kadai vegetable and Onion Kulcha weren't much of a...
