Cafe Shubhangam — Restaurant in Kerala

With high hopes and expectations I & my wife visited this restaurant. We ordered Ghee Podi Idli with Chola bhatura.. Ghee podi idly was disastrous and chola bhatura was ok kind. Since most of the insta and google reviews had good tasting coffee, I ordered it and to my dismay even coffee was pathetic it was strong enough and for a price of Rs.35 it was not at all worth it.

Overall for me personally it was a disastrous experience and I had vowed to never ever visit this place again.

Since the expectation from the customers by the restaurant management is to stand and relish their delicacies. Only three round tables and 4 stools were kept which I feel is ok for the minimal crowd that is walking in however for the facility and atmosphere which this restaurant provides the price they charge on every item is not at all worth it

Our recent visit to this hotel was truly disappointing. The staff displayed very poor behavior, which we felt was completely unacceptable for any hospitality setting. When we brought this to the attention of the owner, we were shocked to see his complete lack of concern for customer experience. Rather than addressing the issue or offering an apology, he seemed more focused on defending his staff’s behavior.

It was evident that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. The owner’s attitude clearly reflected that he is more concerned about protecting his team than ensuring guests feel welcomed and respected. Sadly, this approach suggests that retaining staff is more important to him than retaining customers.

We heard of this restaurant through our relative, since it was started by one of the people in his Brahmana Samooham. Today morning we had a chance to try out from this restaurant. We ordered breakfast via Swiggy from here and incidentally ours was the first order of the day. We got a hand written note from the restaurant, which read "Good Morning Patron! Thank you so much for your valuable order! As yours is our first order of the day, please find a complimentary dish packed herewith. Enjoy your breakfast! Regards, Cafe Shubhangam." I wish I could attach the photo of the note here, it would have been better instead of me typing it. We got kesari as a complimentary dish. This is the first time we are experiencing such a nice gesture from a restaurant. Thanks for the great food...
