Trivandrum Cake House — Restaurant in Kerala

Rated one star - why? coz that how low we can rate on this system...This place is a pathetic excuse for a business, and my rating is not based on the quality of their cakes - i dint get a chance to taste them coz they never made one. My wife and my sister went in person to order a cake for my daughter's 1st bday, and impressed by their designs and reviews from this same page we placed an order in person and again confirmed by whatsapp - which clearly mentioned the date and delivery time and this was acknowledged by the owner. On the day of my daughter's bday, half an hour before the cake was to be delivered i called them to request for additional knifes - their reply was awesome; quoting "Was your order for today?, we thought it was for tomorrow" dumbstruck i asked them if they were joking, and they replied they are not sure if they can provide the cake on time - FYI to the owner, it doesn't take a genius to understand that you cannot bake a designer cake in 30 mins. I managed to buy another cake from another place (Thank GOD), i did pay them a visit in person and gave them a piece of my mind - but the funny thing is that the way they talk, it was my mistake that THEY couldn't understand the difference between numerals 28 and 29 (not to be confused, my order was for 28th and they though it was for 29th). An advice to the so called owners, before continuing with this business venture try to learn some basic maths, like counting numbers so that in future you should not say the same excuse you told me to another customer - "mixed up 28 and 29" and enrol yourself and the baker in some Business etiquette courses or even basic communication...

Had ordered for 02 cakes and thought of usual routine, after function, put it back in refrigerator, stuck in there more or less for months at least.

But the product from here, sorry names not mentioned as am unaware, cut 1st cake and in just few secs the whole cake of 2kgs (approx) was over, and after few mins when all the invitees came by cut the 2nd cake of 3kgs (approx), again in no time that was also completely over.

Sole reason...It's freshness and it's taste, have been trying from many different places, but seldom faced such an experience, thought that just because of its so called or rather say so very boasted "word of mouth" the rates would be sky high and also the shop would be a palacious and extravagant, but to my surprise, rates were very reasonable with a very unexpected discount and in place of shop it was rather their own house and both husband and wife were so very courteous and friendly that one would be left compelled to think do we knew them earlier.

*My verdict, for any auspicious occasion or functions, cakes if any, none other place than TRIVANDRUM CAKE...

Even with short notice ,they were ready to help..it was for my nephews 1st birthday..I wanted it to be special..the lil guy love doremon..I dont know what he finds so special about the character..its all started when I gifted him with a stuff toy of the same..yeah I know I am about to come to the point here..with that said..we had a last minute thought of having a theme based cake..I was kind of skeptical at first..because the bday is on the very next day I wasn't sure its gonna happen or not with that in mind, I contacted them around 11am, they responded in time and told me will ring back, the baker herself messaged me asking my requirements in person, great professional approach really impressed in the dealings, and their commitment to work..she helped me through the order, gave suggestions which really helped. And it happened..u made his day as ours too.he was really happy of what he saw... The cake was beautifully crafted, delicious..great work and they delivered it too..heartfelt thanks to trivandrum cake house. You just got...
