FLAMEHOUSE: A FUSION PLACE TO MAKE YOUR STOMACH AND WALLET THINNER!!
After seeing many positive reviews and Youtube foodie videos we went there with a great expectation. Restaurant is in a good location, easy to find and ample car parking. Ambience inside the restaurant is also quite okay but not that great for the price of food we are paying. They don't have normal water, just bottled water which costs 20 rs/bottle. Normal Warm water is also not available. Now coming to the food part, first thing first: Don't expect your stomach to be full or satisfied after dining in here. We ordered a starter called salt and pepper which was around 220 rs. After 40mins of waiting time, starters finally came!! The dish name and its description at least had 13 letters, but the dish didn't even have 10 pieces of chicken. They put some chilly flakes, salt and oil on 8-10 small pieces of chicken pieces which we get in fried rice. We all were shocked to see a starter like this, hardly 2 tablespoons in a single plate and the dish is over. Bummer!! Luckily we didn't order the main dish yet and we all were sceptical to order. It was getting late, we had a 3 month old baby and we didn't have an option to go to another place and we decided to eat from there itself no matter what. We didn't take any more risk and ordered one thalassery mutton biriyani (290 rs) which took another 20 mins to arrive!! If the starter dish was bad, then this is on top of that. Mutton was not cooked properly, it didn't even taste like a biryani and the quantity as usual-LESS!! The Second dish we ordered was Nasi Goreng (260rs) which we saw in reviews as a good dish. Nothing much to hype about, it's just rice mixed with dried prawn powder ( chemmen chammandi) topped up with a single fried egg.
Good thing is although it takes 1 hour to get your food, it will take 3-5 mins to finish it as the quantity is that much.
That's it. We are done!!
Flamehouse gave a FLAME in our Stomach and Wallet!! Never ever going there! Don't even think about recommending...
Read moreHappened to order food from Flamehouse for this Bakrid. The main reason why I ordered from flamehouse is positive reviews in Eat@Thrissur group... I ordered bucket mutton biriyani from there… before coming to the food quantity and quality let me start with the behaviour of the staff… The staff named Vishnu was the person who attended my order and he was very nice with dealing me as a customer...
Now when coming to food quantity, it has a decent amount of food in the bucket biryani which is already read from other reviews... Even there were a decent number of mutton pieces available and everything is well packed... But I don't think that quantity for single biryani is adequate as I ordered Chicken Biriyani 2 days before from here and the quantity was not enough but it had 3 chicken pieces...
Next when coming to taste... They are providing dum biryani and for normal people it's okay but for a person like me who loves spicy and masala more, it's disappointing as the quantity of masala is low even though we get an adequate quantity of pieces in both Chicken Biriyani and Mutton Biriyani... May it's because I love spicy foods, I didn’t feel much taste of the food and also the eggs were missing from the bucket biryani but it's okay as they informed me that egg will cost additional 50 rupees and I said it's not needed (but from reviews I heard that they are giving if for free...)
Overall, the food was good but really wish if it had some more masala... And when coming to their side dishes... Their Raita and Salad was also nice and it was not like some so-called restaurants who really add more water than curd in raita...
My overall rating is 4/5
And the final request is that to add some more masala with the biryani... So that it will have more feelings... Anyway good job...
Read moreBeen waiting to visit this place for over an year now & finally got the chance.. Before getting into the review - I 10/10 reccomend this place if u r visiting thrissur or r in thrissur town. its on the route to kerala varma college in westfort & easily visible if u r in the premises. there are many restaurants in thrissur & only a few i can recommend confidently to people - this is one of the places. You have to visit this place once & see for urselves wat i'm talking about. Coming to the review we ordered piri piri chicken wings as starter - it had a pleasently different taste & i loved it. it was moderately spicy & wen asked about the name they said its their take on peri peri(famous south african seasoning) also ordered tempura prawns (again as starter) - it was awesome- i'm not a prawns fan(seafood in general) - even i was impressed by the crispy batter skin & perfectly cooked prawns - served alongside a spicy tangy mayo dip. then we had porotta with thengapaal kozhi kuzhambu, asadhaarana curry-mutton and pachakurumulakitta kozhi curry. porotta was super good & that mutton curry is the best i've had in kerala - properly cooked just like we get in tamilnadu. & both chicken curries were so yummyyy- thengapaal one being my favv then we had grilled chicken with herby lime sauce - again properly cooked, good different taste - really loved it. we also ordered chicken biriyani - biriyani had 2 piecs of chicken & an egg & it comes with sides of pappadam, pickle & salads - yummy biriyani. we finished off with mint lime. i'll definitely visit this place again to try their other...
