An Average Dining Experience at Friends Restaurant
Visited Friends Restaurant recently with high expectations, especially excited to try their much-talked-about “Chef Specials.” Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was informed that the chef was on leave and none of the specials were available that day, which was a bit disappointing.
Instead, I opted for the porotta and beef combo. The porotta felt like it had been prepared earlier in the day and simply reheated for the evening service — lacking the freshness and softness you’d typically expect. The beef portion was also quite small, especially considering the price of ₹165, which didn’t feel justified.
The only highlight of the meal was the tea — it was rich, flavorful, and served at the perfect temperature. Easily the best part of the visit.
The dining area itself was just average. It didn’t offer anything particularly welcoming or comfortable. On top of that, finding parking was a hassle due to the restaurant’s location at a busy junction with limited space.
Overall, my experience at Friends Restaurant was fairly average. While the variety on their menu is worth noting, the execution on this visit left a lot to be desired. Would consider giving it another try, hopefully when the...

FRIENDS Restaurant is a small-time diner that performs exceedingly in terms of cuisine. Their Idiyirachi is the right kind of meat. The Beef slices were well minced, dried and fried to give a mishamash of epic lusciousness. The two Parathas I orderd were toasted fresh expressly as aresult of my pestering demand.
The Idiyirachi comes at Rs 160 per plate and the Parathas are Rs 10 per piece. My total Bill was Rs 180 which was 1uite reasonable.
The Outlet is a humble, yet striking one at the Nandancode junction and has a seating capacity for up to 40 persons. The waitrons in the diner too are quite dutiful and polite. They’ve got other specials too on the menu such as the Kizhi paratha, Kizhi biriyani, naadan chicken chilly, Pothichoru and Thava fried chicken.
Their menu highlights the first page with the chef’s special which contains all the above-mentioned dishes and more. The rest of the pages have some of the commonplace dishes which may not deserve special mention. They’ve got a few combos with Porotta and dishes up for grabs too. Free Home delicvery within 5kms is another pluspoint.
Thanks to the small-time restaurant for being great at what they do. Keep up...

This is a small restaurant with a seating capacity of 25 people at a time situated at Nanthancodu junction. I have tried out beef roast and pratha here and the beef roast was yummy and the quantity was too much that I was at able to finish.
Staffs here seemed to be very dutiful as well as keeping an eye out for wants of customers.
Overall the restaurant was very clean and hygienic and the wash area had all the amenities required.
The menu seems to be priced well with variety of dishes , but I believe the non veg option here is more compared to veg options available.
Payment through multiple options...
