An awesome place for a relaxed lunch brunch and dinner , one of the Zam Zam branch that does true justice to chicken lovers, Their appam is super soft , The soup was spiced to perfection , ot does serve Khunafa a Arabic sweet that shall be tried at least once , different speards are available , lasagna is a thing to try fr sure and my personal favorite, barbecue dishes of chicken and beef are authentic and the sauces they use are really genuine , kuzhimandi is too available , authentic kerala dishes are too available but do go in of you really love non veg foods , inhouse ic price is nominal , parking is available, easily accessible road , it's close proximity to prominent places in trivandrum makes it a must go place for food lovers , dont expect a true trivandrum taste as the taste of each dish is authentic tot he place it is specialized, the chefs really did a hard work to put up the right kind of spice , Arabic foods are really tasty and alfham is a must try , a suggestion from me is ask them to make ur alfham juicy as it does taste better that way as the spice is more on wet side and also you feel a tangy flavour , the shawayi chicken is also a specialty here try it if you dont like much spice in your chicken, kumail roti , parotta, appam are the indian breads to go for , try the butter chicken of you are up for a punjabi swing as they really made it authentic with more butter , desert as I said they have inhouse recipe the best one was choco chips dont forget to tell them to add more of the chips it will be a real treat for choco lovers , end your heavy tummy with the sulaimani with peppermint to finish the indulgence , ,it used to be packed to full but corona has reduced the customers. Still it remains a favorite spot for food lovers of...
Read moreI was never a big fan of Zam Zam Palayam, and even though I was born and brought up here, I had tried it only once. But when Zam Zam YMR opened, I reluctantly tried their veg kurma and idiyappam once, and I must say, that’s the best kurma I’ve ever had in all of Trivandrum. Slowly, I started trying their other dishes too, and about 95% of them are really good and delicious. I had never visited the place before because I assumed the seating capacity would be the same as the original outlet. But last week, I finally went there with my friends. To my surprise, there was ample space for dining. However, it’s certainly not a hangout place, coz the restaurant is quite popular, as you can tell from the constant crowd. First they served us passion fruit welcome drinks. Then I ordered fried rice and paneer Kolhapuri, which I had previously tried from there via Swiggy, and as expected, it was simply great. One of my friends had their chicken biryani and loved it. She also tried my veg dishes, as is usual with us, and she loved those too. Another friend ordered chicken peri peri alfam mandi, she liked the alfam but wasn’t too impressed with the rice. Still, she too enjoyed my veg dishes. Then we explored their numerous dessert options. I ordered a karikkin shake, while another friend went for their milk cake. The milk cake wasn’t quite up to the hype, but the karikkin shake was really, really good. The best part of dining at the restaurant, compared to ordering online, is the portion size and value for money. Even after ordering so many items (and a few others too), the total bill was well within the...
Read moreI want to share my bitter experience of dining in at Zam Zam YMR yesterday night, Feb 23. We usually go to Zam Zam as we like the food there and it is budget friendly also. We get all types of cuisines there. Unfortunately we were in shock after yesterday's dinner. The restaurant has made a huge change in the rates recently, which we didn't know. Also the quality of food has gone down drastically. We ordered Honey chilli chicken, American chopsey, quarter shawaya combo, porotta and chilly chicken for our family of 3 adults and a child. At last we also ordered a sweet lassi, mint lime, pineapple juice and a scoop of ice cream. The Honey chilli chicken is kind of starter and the quantity was very small. It cost Rs 400. American chopsey was too sweet with so much sauce over it and was smelling very much egg. My daughter could barely eat half of it. It cost Rs 380. The usual chilly chicken which we have seen is nothing near to what they served us yesterday. It was a mix of chicken curry and some ketchup in it. It never tasted like chilly chicken (worst experience ever). The quarter shawaya served with mandi rice was good, to be honest. The last sweet lassi they served was pathetic. It was too watery, tasted like spoiled milk with cardamom flavour. Overall we had a very bad experience and we all got our stomach upset with loose motion and vomiting. Our total bill was Rs 1720 🥺🥺🥺. We would not have complained if the quality and quantity of the food was good. But unfortunately this was too bad. Hence we have decided not to visit Zam...
