I recently tried the mushroom dosa at this place, and I must say that in terms of taste and flavor, the dish was really enjoyable. The dosa itself was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the mushroom filling was quite delicious, flavorful, and well-seasoned. It really stood out as a dish that I would recommend purely based on its taste. However, while the food managed to leave a positive impression, the overall dining experience was affected negatively by the service.
Even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy at the time and the waiter appeared to be completely free, he did not bother to attend to us properly. We waited for a considerable amount of time before he even acknowledged our table, and there was no sense of attentiveness or hospitality. It felt as though customers were not given much priority. A good restaurant experience is not just about the food but also about the service and atmosphere, and unfortunately, that part was lacking here.
What stood out the most, and not in a good way, was the fact that the only thing the waiter was quick about was bringing us the bill. While the food itself took time to reach the table and there was hardly any interaction during our dining experience, the bill was brought instantly without delay. This created the impression that customer satisfaction was not valued as much as quickly closing the order.
Overall, while I enjoyed the mushroom dosa, I felt disappointed by the lack of proper service and attention. With better hospitality, this place could leave a much stronger impression on...
Read moreFood is okay but very pathetic service. We had a bus to catch from the same location and had about 1.5 hours of time, so planned to have a peaceful dinner at this place.
But as soon as we got in with luggage, they asked us to wait outside. When we told them that we want to have dinner here, they gave us a table and forced us to order even before we settled on the chairs. And when asked for 5 mins, waiter's reaction seemed like "I might loose some 100 customers in this much time". While we were looking at the menu, 3 waiters told us to either order immediately or leave the premises.
We ordered and food came in about 5 to 10 minutes. Waiter continuously stared at us once they delivered the food at the table, which made me and my wife very uncomfortable. It was very difficult to eat with them staring even after every single minute or less. When we again asked for menu to order some more items the waiter literally said "abhi tak hua nhi kya"; though it was only 10 minutes that we took to consume the food. We ordered something to drink and before we could complete, they gave us the bill. In no mood to argue, we paid the bill and came out without any further delay.
Bad choice from my side to have dinner at such inhospitable place.
Also, they had very limited options available from the menu. Not sure if that constraint was specifically for us only.
To all the people planning to have dinner at this place as it is very near to the bus pickup point, please go for some...
Read moreMy recent lunch experience at Abhirami, located near Lulu Mall in Kochi, was decent overall. The restaurant offered two rice options - white rice and kuthu rice, providing some variety for patrons. While the curries served alongside were acceptable, they didn't quite reach the level of exceptional flavor I had hoped for.
The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a suitable spot for a casual meal. The staff were courteous and attentive, although there were moments when service could have been a bit more prompt.
While my experience at Abhirami may not have been outstanding, it certainly wasn't disappointing either. It's a decent option for vegetarians in the area, offering a satisfactory dining experience with room for improvement. With a few tweaks to the menu and perhaps a bit more attention to detail, Abhirami has the potential to elevate its offerings and become a go-to spot for vegetarians seeking a quality...
