This hidden cafe lives up to its name - it's tucked away, but trust me, it's worth seeking out! As soon as you step inside, you'll be enveloped in a warm and cozy ambiance that's a breath of fresh air in the midst of the bustling city centre. It's clear that the owners have put a lot of thought into creating a peaceful oasis, and it really shows.
The food, on the other hand, is a bit pricey - a cup of coffee will set you back 30 bucks, which might be steep for some. But what's great is that the snacks are freshly made to order, which is a big plus. I tried the cutlet, and while it was crispy on the outside, unfortunately, it wasn't cooked through properly - the meat inside was still raw. Not the best experience, but I'm willing to give them another chance.
Despite the food hiccup, I think this spot is perfect for small celebrations or just a quiet evening out after a long day of work. The calm and serene atmosphere is just what you need to unwind and relax. The effort that the owners have put into creating this peaceful haven is really appreciated, and I'm looking forward to going back and trying more of their offerings. The night vibe there is better I think but more people are exploring there in...

We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday here, and it turned out to be a great choice. The atmosphere made it feel intimate and personal, with just the right vibe for a small celebration. The staff were friendly and gave us enough space and time to enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed.
Coming to the food – I particularly enjoyed their arippa pathil, which was flavorful and well-made. The menu has a nice mix of café bites and local-inspired snacks, and it complements the overall vibe of the place very well.
In short, hidDen Café is perfect if you're in the mood for some quiet time, casual catch-ups, or even a low-key celebration. I’ll definitely be visiting...
Read moreIt’s easy to fault others’ efforts but how would we ourselves do it, given the same demands for satisfying others ?
The most obvious things first.
This looks like a passionate enterprise. Some folks apparently had a beautiful idea and they went and did it!
A cosy place that showcases a unique perspective.
Food Taste, Pricing and our own other expectations would be personal and subjective to our individual tastes.
Objectively speaking, the place is beautiful, it’s well thought out and executed.
Subjectively speaking the prices are quite reasonable, the food variety is wide, and the portions seemed generous.
Service was prompt, attentive, accessible and courteous.
My only complaint would be a subjective opinion on the ‘housekeeping’.
It would be unfair to voice more on that aspect after a perfunctory first visit ( I discovered this place through a Swiggy search for Karage, and went to try that..because the two other places I know are both closed on Mondays)
If I ever get to go again, I hope to share more information.
Is this place worth visiting? I’d say yes. There are other reviewers who have generously offered information on the food etc so do give...
