Classic Sarovar Portico — Hotel in Kerala

It was Very much recommendable hotel till yest based on services,,,but here I forced to share one worst thing which I am facing at this mid night 02:10 and on going.I had complete my duty and I came to hotel with complete fatigue.I was started sleeping around 22:00 hrs and after some time I woke up because of noise,,,which was the other new guests were making by playing heavy bass music very loudly and yelling from there...I called the receptionist around 00:20 hrs and had informed the same and he said he came and told them,,,,Dear management you can see the time when I am sharing my experience...When u people are sleeping peacefully I am awake and writing this bcz the above issue,,,I paid for the hotel and this is wat I am facing,,,I thing no body is there to make sure whether your guests are comfortable with your atmosphere or not.I never expected this from a premium hotel like CLASSIC SAROVAR PORTICA Trivandrum..I don't understand when there is a government rule that after 22:00 there should not be any kind of noice to others and why you people are still allowing at 02:00 and making others guests loosing their sleep.Atleast your staff could have be there and could have make sure its not happening again once they got the complaint from other guests that too u have family guests,,ladies childern and all...Here you prove that its a poor management with no stern decision and guts...

The hotel is located centrally, however slightly inside a small lane, cars can easily come through the road. They also have ample space for car parking which can be useful when hosting a function in the hotel.

The reception area is neat, tidy and spacious not very swanky. The staff is courteous and try to help in way they can. They also take care of your preferences of your rooms. Smoking is strictly not allowed inside the rooms, if you do, they charge Rs. 2000 as penalty.

The rooms are nice and spacious, however the view from the windows is not great. They provide toiletries like toothbrush, paste, shaving stick, hair comb, shop, shampoo etc.

We also had a dinner buffet, the dining area is ample, as there during dinner, not many people were having food. The buffet has decent choices, but you cant say that it has many variety. Limited dishes to cover Chinese, north & south Indian, additional 3 choices for Non-Veg which included Chicken, fish and beef.

Breakfast on the other hand looked less tasty and options looked limited. The staff also looked slow to response here and there. You need to be patient when ordering something specific.

They also have a small gym which is enough to ensure that you dont miss your workout.

The checkout process was easily and customized the bill to as per food and stay.

Visited Classic Sarovar Portico Thiruvananthapuram in October '22 for a night. Checked in at around 9pm and had to leave at 6am. I was upgraded to a suite. Went to the room to find that there are no towels. Even after an hour of requesting it, I didn't receive it. Went to the reception and was told that there are no towels in the hotel !! I was offered bed sheets/ pillow covers as a substitute for towels! Anyways, somehow managed to procure a couple of hand towels for my shower. The hotel staff was good and they said that due to a cricket team who took more towels, they ran out of it. Another major issue which I encountered was that my credit card was charged twice for my stay. Thankfully I checked my statement and contacted the hotel. They refunded the amount back to my account after a few days. I've never experienced such incidents in my stay anywhere else.

Pros: Good location Courteous staff Nice suite
