My family of four had breakfast at Rice Boat, a pure vegetarian restaurant in Alappuzha, on August 13th and 14th. Our experience at Rice Boat Restaurant was absolutely delightful! The food was not only delicious but also fresh and hygienic, which made us feel confident about every meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained.

We loved the food so much that we ended up visiting five times during our stay! The Kerala Thali was a standout, offering a perfect blend of authentic flavors. We also enjoyed the biryani and parathas, which were consistently flavorful and well-prepared.

There is decent amount of parking available both in the front and in the basement, and the security guard was helpful in guiding us to a spot. We had Kerala meals and it had very less salt, spice and tanginess — it was completely bland. The North Indian thali is basically the same Kerala meals (with matta rice), just with papadam replaced by roti. We ordered it without knowing this and regretted it. -They do offer multiple servings for meals, but the initial portion of the curries comes in a very small bowl. You have to repeatedly call them to refill it — they don’t proactively offer it or check with you which I feel can be improved. -The atmosphere is good and the place is neat and clean. Washrooms are great as well. -It’s also better to call them once before visiting, because sometimes they take bulk orders and won’t serve regular walk-in customers.
