Rosemarry's Cafe — Restaurant in Kerala

Wow where do I start:

Fresh, authentic, affordable, homemade Indian food cooked with love by Rosemary & her daughter Akhila in their home..... I walked passed this hidden gem for about a month before realising it was like a ‘pop up style cafe’ & you can just shout hello almost anytime of day (even if the door is locked) & Rosemary will appear & make you food with a smile !!

Once I found this cafe I ate here everyday for 3 months because it was real indian food, (not heavily full of oil, sugar and salt like the local restaurants - which after a while all start tasting the same & make you feel unhealthy) & it is incredible value for money ..... the cheapest delicious & varied Tali in town. PLUS if you want to pay a bit extra for something unique & special you can order a day in advance & she will cook pretty much anything you request ..... even a banquet & it’s still cheaper & tastier than any of the heaving tourist restaurants. So we had many a farewell leaving doo here.

Finally what an amazing humble local family to support ..... I miss our daily chats Rosemary & Akhila & hope to be back someday. Namaste and so pleased you are...

I love coming here. My son discovered it last year and we went here a lot for lunch when we were in Kovalam and now that we are back we will be going again - today was the first day. Beautiful home cooked meal, always delicious and authentic and Rosemary is so sweet and cool. I just love it there. And you’ll faint when she tells you how much. Everything is the best little meal as much as you want....

Rosemary, part of the trinity alongside StellaMary and Celia is most likely the best thing that has ever happened to Kovalam. I would even say that you haven't visited India if you have not eaten at Rosemary's. With her delicious food, she managed to fill the Gramakasi, which is an astonishing accomplishment. Her smile will brighten your day and purify your soul! Incredible India,...
