I recently visited Ambisami in Thrissur and had the pleasure of trying their sweet kheer. The place might seem small from the outside, with parking available by the road. They serve palada with boli and wheat pradhanan. I sampled the palada and boli, and I must say, it was truly awesome. I even took a parcel all the way to Bangalore, and it arrived with no issues.
I've seen some comments about the service guy being rude, but considering he's running the place with very little help, I think he's doing an amazing job. If you plan to dine in, you'll need to pay first and take your plate inside along with the boli. Don't expect fancy seating, but what's there serves its purpose and is kept neat.
I asked if I could have more boli, and he politely declined, explaining that the boli prepared and brought to us was equivalent to the payasam made. This shows his commitment to quality and not overselling. Additionally, they offer a few other savory items like laddu, which was also quite good. Overall, Ambisami is a must-visit for those seeking authentic, delicious kheer and a taste of local flavors...
Read moreMy wife and I visited this shop after seeing several positive reviews from YouTubers, eager to satisfy her craving for mithayivala payasam with boli. We had high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. While the payasam was reasonably goodâsweet, flavorful, and satisfyingâthe boli was a big letdown. It was extremely hard, making it difficult to chew and enjoy. We had to take our time to finish it, which took away from the overall experience. Given the popularity of this combination and the hype around it, we were genuinely disappointed. This establishment has the potential to offer a memorable experience, but they need to address these quality issues. Mithayivala payasam and boli are traditional items that should be served fresh and tender to fully enjoy the taste and texture. We hope the proprietor considers feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements, as this could make a great difference in customersâ experience and...
Read moreOh my God ! If something is over priced and over hyped in thrissur, it's ambi swami.
Bought onam sadya kit meant for 3 people paying INR 1,250/-
Firstly the quantity was really less, secondly all the items tasted sweet.
Extremely over priced. Not worth INR 150/-
Both the payasam were hyper sweetened. Awfully sweet. The payasam was absolutely horrible.
Nobody in my family liked anything.
I went back to complaint and the person Naveen there said the quantity is more than sufficient for 3 people. Seemed rude.
No pulisheri, no kalan, no olan, no rasam, no toran, no banana. They gave pappadam that was not cooked, for us to cook at home.
I don't know what the hell is wrong with people...
