Sweet N Spicy Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Kerala

Had a very good experience from Sweet and Spicy.. Visited the hotel along with family.. Hotel seems to be small but around 10 to 15 seats are available,though the interior seems conjusted.. Ambience was Ok.. Ordered Porotta, Chappathi , pathiri,Beef fry, Dragon chicken and Chicken Chilly butter.. Dragon chicken consist of 10-11 marinated pieces which were simply awesome in taste.. Chilly chicken butter was too good and both were 100% best for bread items... Pathiri was too thin.. Beef fry consisted of bone pieces was the drawback. The main highlight was the chicken gravy the used to provide with porotta as a complimentary was too good.. One of the best chicken gravy i tasted.. It overthrow the taste of all other items.. Simply superb.. Movement of lot of online food delivery guys is a concern. More than dine online business is more I think.. But this is one among the best hotels in trivandrum for Dragon chicken...

Extremely Disgusting Experience – Avoid at All Costs

I recently visited Sweet and Spicy Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram, and it was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. The food was extremely bad, putrid, and tasted stale—completely unfit for consumption. It left me feeling awful and disgusted.

When I politely informed the staff about the poor quality, I was shocked to receive rude behavior and even yelling in response. Instead of addressing the concern, they were extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.

To make matters worse, I happened to see their kitchen area, which was filthy, unhygienic, and downright revolting. I genuinely fear for the health and safety of anyone eating from such an environment.

This is not just about bad service—it's about public health. I strongly urge others to stay away from this place to avoid the risk of food poisoning or worse.

Absolutely not...

I had an absolutely horrible experience at Sweet n Spicy with their egg noodles. The dish was completely tasteless—like eating plain, overcooked noodles with zero seasoning, spice, or effort. It was mushy, bland, and downright disgusting. I don’t know how they dare serve something this bad and call it food!

To the cook: If you can’t prepare flavorful and tasty food, then just don’t serve it at all. This was an insult to customers who expect at least a decent meal for their money. It felt like no effort, no care, and no passion went into making it.

To other customers: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! If you’re looking for good food, this is NOT the place. Avoid these egg noodles at all costs unless you enjoy disappointment. I will never return, and I strongly suggest others stay away too!
