Read moreIt may be fair to rate it basing different priorities. I am a smoker and I cannot approve air tight rooms with no designated smoking zones at least in the same floor. Through connections I reached out to Mr. Subish at South Park and he really made me feel worth the stay. His approach was polite and all my needs were particularly taken care of. He got a good price deal for the Suite that was situated near the open area with smoking space.
The room may have different angles to rate ; the hotel is quite old so the modern feel will not be there though it’s all neat and clean. Retro isn’t bad though again to the different tastes. However the olden days shower lack water pressure, the toilet tiles are extremely slippery (beware of elderly people) - Though overall and for the price I wouldn’t complain.
The Food : The A’la Carte Menu no doubt was pricey but taste and quality was really good. The complimentary breakfast menu I can say just not bad. What however disappointed me was their dinner Buffet. There were times before when their buffets were the best but not this time sadly with 2 chicken items, 1 fish item, 2 veg items along with 2 rice and 2 breads plus a welcome drink. Items were so common too for a point.
A point I may add though ; the trainees hardly know anything to answer in general. They find it tough to comprehend in any language we speak and most of them should learn to smile. It’s a hospitality industry of course and that makes it no excuse to give all serious looks.
But Overall feel they put efforts and they are good...
Read moreThe front desk staff member I encountered was exceptionally rude and unprofessional. When I inquired about why the extra bed provided during this stay did not come with a bed frame as it had during my previous stay just five nights ago, his response was dismissive and unhelpful. He said, "You should ask the housekeeping, not me." via telephone. If this is the standard of hospitality your hotel upholds, I see no reason to return.
Furthermore, the subsequent explanation provided by the same staff member was equally unacceptable. He stated, "We said extra bed, not frame," and informed me that the extra bed would be placed on the floor. This was only communicated after we had settled into our room, not at check-in. It appears that your hotel has a limited number of bed frames for extra beds and had run out, despite my booking being made a month in advance.
This situation could have been handled much more professionally. If the lack of bed frames had been communicated at check-in with a simple, "We apologise, but we have run out of bed frames," it would have been understandable. However, the rude attitude and lack of basic courtesy from your front desk staff are inexcusable. Proper communication and a respectful demeanour are fundamental in the hospitality industry, and this experience has left me extremely disappointed.
