𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 A restaurant that offers a nice view of the Kochi bridge. Food isn't overly priced. Its a good choise to bring a outsider here to show them a good view of this side of Kochi 😋

🟢 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 🍱 We tried the following items - • Alfaham Mandhi • Chocolate Shake • Lime Tea The food is good. Not a must try item but its good.

🟢 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞/𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰 🏮 One of the highlights about this place is the view that it offers. Its pretty much open to the side facing the sea, which gives us a wide view of the bridges.

I also really liked the table and chair designs used here. Seems alot like an outdoor picnic desk.

Try and avoid the seats right next to the kitchen counter, because sometimes the smoke and onion acids cause us irritation and make our eyes water.

🟢 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 🧑‍💼👩‍💼 The staff are pleasant and friendly. Although I did feel like they were a bit understaffed when I visited. Only saw one person taking the orders on the whole floor and because of that things were quite slow.

🟢 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 🏃 Because the size of the restaurant is a bit large, the service is a bit slow especially when theres a rush.

🟢 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 🎶🐠 There is a waiting area here which is amazing. Not many restaurants do that and I really appreciate them adding this here.

There are two fish tanks which are a spectacle to behold. You just have to see it. So colourful and pretty.

There's also a Television on which they play music videos and occasional self advertisements.

🟢 Parking 🅿️ Parking is available under the Marina Mall. Not sure if large vehicles can come inside like a traveller or bigger.

🟢 Washrooms 🚻 Washrooms are present and are clean.

🔴 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫 Consider installing a few more vents of exhausts in the kitchen area if possible. The smoke was getting inside the restaurant and it was not pleasant. Im sure the kitchen staff as well as your customers will be happy with a smoke free environment.

Please consider putting up awareness/sign boards near the open sides of the restaurant regarding "No Littering" or "Dont throw waste down there". I saw a couple of people tossing waste over the side. Lets not spoil the already dying sea.

All major restaurants have a tissue dispenser on each table. Please consider keeping one in yours. Its quite hard to get your hands on some tissues when the service staff is busy...

First of all I should say that the food is tasty, no doubt. My concern is related to the service and communication of the staff to the customers. I was there in the evening with my family to have dinner. This is my first time experiencing The Salt restaurant. I m living abroad and my parents told me there is a restaurant in town which is great. Thought of giving it a try. We ordered soup, Momos, Salads and I were told by my Mom that the Al faham Mandi was the specialty. I gave the order for the same. The gentleman at the restaurant who assisted us said that there is a cheese Al faham mandi available which is better. We gave the order and made sure that the rice is included in it. The gentleman said yes it is included. Since we ordered the Appetizer and the starters we ordered only a Half portion of Mandi and the price mentioned was Rs 400 for the same. Everything went well and last I ve ordered one Bottle of Pepsi as well. Finally the bill arrived and it was showing only Rs 480 for the half portion of Cheese Mandi and Rs 80 for Pepsi. I pointed out that they missed out the other stuff which we ordered and the gentleman went back and brought another bill. It was Rs 1480 and I found out that I was charged Rs 760 for the Cheese Al Faham Mandi which is 380 X 2. I enquired why I was charged twice for this as it shows Rs 400 for a Half portion on your menu. The guy told me that’s the charge of Rice which is added extra so this is how it shows. We were told by the same guy that the rice is included with the meal and now he is saying there is an extra charge for it. The point is I was given a bill initially and it was mentioned Rs 400 for the Cheese Al faham Mandi. The same thing in the new bill shows Rs 760. Everything was so confusing that the menu shows different price than the bill. It’s not about the money,I didn’t get the whole idea of how this works. I didn’t get into an argument as I was with my family and paid the money which was there on the bill. But next time this should not happen with any other customers and appreciate transparency in...
