We were around 12 people went for dine in, Restaurant opening time was 07:30pm, we went by 7pm & requested them to use washroom as we were with kids and ladies along with us. But they dined by saying there is some pipeline work is going on. But by exact 07:30 they unlocked washroom’s door. This might be the worst experience. There are only 2 serving staff, 1 order taking staff, No idea about the chef & Staffs are so friendly that they ll talk with bad attitude and high toned voice also they don't want us to eat in there restaurant. We went with the hope of Name as Cream centre, which we usually tried in chennai many times. For 12 PAX we received bill 9k approx, Just Soup, Starters & half main course. We order pav bhaji they served us bun and bhaaji and when we asked that bun is sweet and we cant eat this with bhaaji they simply told that in whole kodaikanal this is how pav bhaaji is served and the funny part is this is the only hotel where i have seen GST of 18% on food. Like on bill of 9000 i have to pay 1600 as GST (There online registered HSN code is different and they billed food with different HSN). Just coz they restaurant is in the compound of rain drops hotel. After arguing for long time with manager they provided us with some discount.
Had some terrible experience over there, Better suggestion is to have good food at reasonable pricing on opposite of cream centre named as TAWA, Where the accommodation of space might is smaller but food is...

We stayed at Raindrops for three days in August 2019 and ate at Cream Centre, Kodaikanal next to the lake. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner on all three days: the idly was really soft and was accompanied with sambar and two chutneys (coconut and tomato). one other day, we had awesome Poha. The tomato and onion utthapam dosas were delicious. authentic south indian food.
Post 11 am menu is a standard of Cream Centre. Laksa, a coconut-based curry soup was sumptuous and filling. The plantain-leaf wrapped panneer was superb with rice. The north Indian dishes like roti, parathas and their subjis were authentic too. you are right, we ate shamelessly. We had Amritsari aloo kulcha everyday!!
The Sizzling Brownie is a signature dish and a must try.
The chat items were simply mouth-watering. the Pani Puri was so authentic and came with four healthy fillings - the highest I have seen at a resort. I did miss a good filter coffee but the ginger and masala teas made up for it.
Happy to see Chennai's Cream Centre at Kodaikanal! The hosts are warm and friendly and gave our kids the menu they wanted, happy to eat pasta and pizza. Thank you, Management and staff for making our holiday...
Read moreBefore reading this review, please be assured that Cream Centre is a place you are bound to come again and again. I happened to visit Cream Centre while trying to search for vegetarian restaurants in Kodaikanal. Found this amazing place with such a polite and prompt staff, fast and friendly service, I was bound to come again the next day. We had our meals everyday during our visit to Kodaikanal. The food is top notch. The food really really tastes amazing and the restaurant is hygienic. The washroom is clean and the surroundings are neat. There is plenty of hotel parking downstairs and the hotel is near to a petrol bunk. Wheelcair accessible place and kid...
