Kovai Annapoorna Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in Kodaikanal

I visited here with my family. When we were parking the car they took the security diposit ₹200 and they said you will get ₹200 off in your food bill. When we arrived the restaurant and we tried to order no one attended for 15 min. Finally we placed the order. After getting dosai they said no sambar and chutney. So we want to cancel the order. They denied to cancel and they denied to refund ₹200. Hotel staff is arrogant. They locked the parking gate and said we will not leave the car for next 1 hour. We literally begged they to leave us. After half an hour fight with the hotel staff local people and more tourists were involved and due to them we can go out. They literally created hostage situation. If you are not tamilian then don't dare to go there. Hunger can wait but for hunger you can't keep your family's...

The staff is violent towards customers they ran out of food at 10 am and only served dosa without chutney on asking chutney they took dosa back and started arguing with us as a lady I felt unsafe as they tried to hit us we were group of 4, 2 female and 2 male and they locked our car in their parking and didn't let us get out and started threten us by saying we won't let u go will see how u get out of here and didn't returned 200 rs which was refundable bcoz of some kind localites we got out of there so i recommend not to go in any case there one of their waiter who was trying hit...

I had an absolutely terrible experience at Kovai Annapurna Restaurant, Kodaikanal. The receptionist/manager was shockingly rude and abusive. When we tried to explain that my friend was feeling sick, instead of being understanding, he insulted us and even went as far as telling my friend to "die and go to hell." Such behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in the hospitality industry. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. There are plenty of other restaurants in Kodaikanal with far better service and respect...
