From the moment I walked into Arsalan Restaurant, I was greeted with warmth and courtesy by their attentive staff. The excellent service and inviting ambiance set the tone for what would turn out to be a delightful culinary journey.
Staff Behavior: The standout feature of my visit to Arsalan was undoubtedly the impeccable staff behavior. From the moment I entered the restaurant until I left, the staff members were courteous, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. They were more than willing to offer recommendations and provide insights into the menu. Their genuine warmth made me feel like a valued guest, and their prompt service ensured that my dining experience was seamless.
Ambiance: The restaurant's ambiance was a perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional charm. The tasteful decor, including intricate patterns and artwork, created an inviting atmosphere that was ideal for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. The soft lighting added a touch of elegance without feeling overwhelming, making it a great place for a relaxed evening out.
Food: Now, onto the highlight of my visit—the food. Arsalan's menu is renowned for its indulgent and flavorful dishes, and my dining experience lived up to the reputation. I started with the Chicken Malai Kebab, which was a creamy and succulent delight. The tender pieces of chicken were marinated to perfection, and the smoky aroma was simply irresistible.
For the main course, I opted for the Butter Naan and Chicken Butter Garlic Masala. I must admit that the dishes were rich and quite oily, but they were also incredibly tasty. The creamy and aromatic Chicken Butter Garlic Masala was a perfect blend of spices, and the buttery naan complemented it beautifully. While the richness may not be suited for everyday dining, it was a delightful indulgence.
To conclude the meal, I savored the Firni for dessert. It was a sweet, creamy, and slightly nutty delight that left a lasting impression. The portion size was just right to satisfy my sweet tooth without feeling overly heavy.
Overall Impression: Arsalan Restaurant offers a memorable dining experience with its exceptional staff behavior, inviting ambiance, and richly flavored cuisine. While the food may be on the richer side, it's undeniably delicious and worth indulging in on special occasions or when you're in the mood for a decadent treat. The warm hospitality and the flavorsome dishes make Arsalan a restaurant I would gladly return to for another...
Read moreArsalan no longer needs introduction, I guess. It has become a brand now and makes one of the best biriyanis of Kolkata.
Visited the E.M.Bypass outlet yesterday with my gang. Had order :
Special Mutton Biriyani (contains 2 mutton pcs, 1 pc potato and 1 boiled egg) - 1 plate
Special Chicken Biryani (contains 2 chicken leg pcs, 1 pc potato and 1 boiled egg) - 1 plate
Butter Naan - 4 nos.
Masala Chicken (4 pcs) - 1 plate
Reshmi Butter Chicken (6 pcs) - 1 plate
Fresh Lime Soda
Firni
The quantity was sufficient for 4 heads. Quantity of rice in the special biriyani plates were sufficient.
The masala chicken gravy was quite spicy and tangy (not recommended for children at all).
Reshmi Butter Chicken as the name suggests, is buttery soft but it lacks the sweetness and is slightly on the saltier side. Ah, well, the dish contains moderate amount of butter which lends the dish a salty taste.
Butter Naan had drops of butter dripping from them. It will surely melt your heart if you had a bad day.
I have an affinity for Fresh Lime Soda and order it almost every time I visit a restaurant. I loved it here as it had the perfect amount of sweetness and salt in it.
Lastly, we polished off our plates with firni. Such a creamy texture with the perfect blend of sugar. If you have a sweet tooth, it will definitely have your heart.
Though the items are a bit pricey, you won't mind that for the awesome taste and great ambiance. Presence of sofas and giant screen adds to the grandeur of the place. Both AC and Non AC dining area available. Plus the thing which I liked the most is - though the place stays crowded most of the time, our order was taken and delivered in minimum time.
Huge parking space for 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers available. Also if you want to pack your food, the option is available too.

Read moreI went there with my husband yesterday for lunch. Firstly, while ordering, when we asked the head-waiter whether the quantity of Pulao per plate is sufficient for 2 people, he said no. Later we found out that it was more than what even 2 normal people can consume; providing false information was simply a tactic to force us to order for more food. Secondly, they served us food, but did not give us any plate to eat on. We had to repeatedly call for them, when one waiter appeared with just one plate. We needed to ask him to serve the food on the plate, which he did in a clumsy way (probably he is new to this job). Thereafter, whenever we had to call for the head-waiter regarding any additional order (as he had taken our order in the beginning), he very conveniently kept on ignoring us most of the time, although there was not much rush at that time. His body language conveyed that he is doing a favour by serving us food! This is the first time I had a dine-in experience in an Arsalan restaurant. So I didn't know that we had to ask for finger-bowls for washing hands, otherwise they won't offer them to us, as per the head-waiter's version (though I kept on seeing finger-bowls being served in all the other tables, and no one used the basin to wash his hand except me). During billing, he promptly asked us for tips. I have been to several medium and high-end restaurants in Kolkata and other cities, but have never seen any waiter asking for tips blatantly. After payment, we kept waiting for the final bill, but no one came. We could have pursued it, but as it was getting late, we decided to leave. Overall, I am highly disappointed with their service. The 2 stars are for the food, which was excellent. I am never going back to...
