The place that introduced us with potato twisters or tornado potatoes , which has now become somewhat popular in India after its origin from Korea . Potato twisters are deep fried spiral cut whole potatoes in a skewer . These are served with various kinds of seasoning like I tried one which had peri peri masala brushed over the twister which was named peri peri twistato.
The other one was called masala twistato which had some special masala brushed over the potato along with cheese. These twistato are something that are very unique not just to look at but also in taste . So these are definately the mist haves from this place.
Apart from these we had Cheesy tandoodi maggi which was a simple preparation made from maggie added with tandoori masala garnished with cheese .
Then we had Nachos with salsa just a simple plate of plain nachos . Nachos are basically corn chips and hence they taste different from the potato chips that we are accustomed with. Hence a person having nachos for the first time may not necessarily fall in love with its flavours.
These were followed by an array of dishes like mix veg corn sandwich , chilly cheese sandwich , mixed veg pizza, Capsicum onion cheese pizza, Bun nippat burger ,Chettiy's cheese pasta Cheesy Fries. Of all these , cheesy fries had some good standard. The fried were perfectly crispy and baked with cheese that added to its flavours. The burger patty was very unusual , it was a sweet and tough crunchy patty made from nuts , so this burgers are absolutely nothing to what we are used to . I didn't like it much but people with a different palate may like it. The chilly cheese sandwich had lots of chopped green chillies and very less amount of cheese . The pasta gravy was very watery and wasn't of right consistency .
For the drinks we had masala thumbs up / sprite . That's just cold drinks added with jal jeera .
My picks would definately include the potato twistatos and the...

Coming to food, Chettis corner is especially known for their twistatos, so we definitely had to start with them,
Masala twistato, A whole potato that’s been cut spirally, dipped in a delicious batter, deep fried to perfection and sprinkled with a good amount of chat masala. It was surely a crunchy delight. We also tried the Peri Peri Twistato, which is the same thing, but with a sprinkling of hot and spicy Peri Peri masala. We still couldn't get over the potatos, so ordered the Cheesy Fries, which was basically French fries topped with molten cheese sauce. Nothing can go wrong with this classic combination!
Next we tried the Cheesy tandoodi maggi. Our favourite Maggie cooked with tandoori masala, and a lot of cheese! Nothing extraordinary, but simple yet tasty.
Finally we ordered a few more dishes to fill our tummy, Chilly cheese sandwich - A lipsmacking sandwich made with a filling of cheese and chopped green chillies. Althought the cheese balances out the chilled, still it was enough hot to make you sweat. Go for it only if you can handle the heat!
Capsicum onion cheese pizza- A colourful pizza made with a topping of pizza sauce, capcicum, onion and a lot of cheese.
Chetty's cheese pasta - Penne pasta cooked in a humble and delicious white sauce. The pasta was al-dante but the sauce was a bit runny. We gulped everything down with refreshing masala cold drinks!
Overall I enjoyed the food and service at Chetty's. An ideal place for students to grab a quick snack at...
Read moreChetty's Corner is mainly popular for their twistatos, but today had tried their other items and they deserve to come on limelight. They have no seating available, takeaway and standing are allowed. Service was quick and price is obviously pocket friendly. I had tried- Cheesy tandoori maggi, Nachos with salsa, Mix veg sweet corn sandwich, masala drinks, Bun nippat burger, Cheesy Fries. Cheesy tandoori maggi was the normal maggi we eat with lots of cheese above it. Nachos were crispy and served with a sour and sweet chutney. Sandwich was really big in size and bread were soft. Filling was with full of cheese and veggies like corn, capsicum etc. Bun nippat burger was interesting, patty was deep fried, and coated with coriander chutney on both side alongwith few curry leaves. This gave the salty, sour taste to the burger, and another sweet sauce gave it sweet taste. Bun was soft. Cheesy fries, the name implies french fries loaded with cheese. Masala cold drinks was available with Sprite and Thumbs Up. Overall it’s a good place for sudden hunger or...
