I recently had the pleasure of dining at Danish Restaurant in Kolkata, and I must say, it was a delightful culinary journey, especially when it came to their biriyani.
The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure every aspect of our dining experience was pleasant.
Now, let's talk about the highlight - the biriyani. It was a true masterpiece! The aroma of spices filled the air as the biriyani was brought to our table. The rice was perfectly cooked and fragrant, each grain separate and full of flavor. The tender, succulent pieces of meat blended seamlessly with the rice, creating an explosion of taste in every bite. The balance of spices was just right, not overpowering, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through.
The biriyani was accompanied by a flavorful raita and a refreshing salad, enhancing the overall experience. It's evident that the chefs at Danish Restaurant take great pride in crafting this traditional dish with utmost care and expertise.
Apart from the biriyani, the restaurant offered a diverse menu with various Danish and Indian specialties, catering to different palates. I look forward to trying more of their offerings on my next visit.
In conclusion, Danish Restaurant in Kolkata is a hidden gem that every biriyani enthusiast must explore. From the warm ambiance to the scrumptious biriyani, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. If you find yourself in Kolkata, do not miss the opportunity to savor the flavors of Danish Restaurant's biriyani – it's truly a treat...
Read moreThe ambience was pretty good , the staff behaviou was friendly. Now coming to the food quality and price.
We ordered these items-
Chicken Biriyani-270/-( the rice is aromatic, the aloo was blunt just like a boiled potato, the ckicken piece was just boiled no masala and not cooked properly, stains of blood in it so we changed the piece but they denied.
Tandoori Roti- Rs 40/- per piece Smell of soda in that roti . Not good at all.
Chicken kolapuri - Rs320/- the taste was good. But the chicken piece was hard and they serve with bone pieces which is surprising in compared to the cost.
Mutton Tikia- Rs 120/- the worst mutton tikiya i ever i had in my life. No portion of mutton keema in it the gravy is tasteless. The binding of sattoo flavour is in the tikiya. I must say a road side tikiya is far better compared to Rs 60 per piece.
The total price was Rs 852/- which i think is too high compared to the road side restaurant like this.
The food quality is worst .
If you go to other branded restaurants like Haji saheb, Dawate Hind, Shiraz or even Zam Zam . Their price really justify the quality of food.
Please i must say this is my first and last visit to this place on 23rd Jan 2025. And i will never recommend this food...
Read moreVery bad behaviour with guests (customers) - hospitality sucks here!!! On Tuesday (7th May 2024), walked inside the restaurant with a friend of mine and sat at a table meant for 2 because we didn't want to block a table which would actually fetch more business to them than we could offer.
We ordered a Tirangaa Kebab and 2 Fresh Lime sodas. Along with our order they served a bottle of mineral water which we never asked for. We finished having the kebabs and the drinks pretty fast. After that the waiters started bothering us saying if we want to sit more then we have to order something more. We said we don't want to order anything but will leave soon. They kept on hovering over our heads pushing us to either order something more or to leave. Then I decided to start drinking the water which they served with a charge of Rs 30 for 1 ltr only. Then they started telling us to take the bottle and leave the restaurant if we didn't want to order anything else.
Ridiculous!!! "Poor Service" is an understatement for their quality of...
