Starbucks — Restaurant in Kolkata

Been there on day 1. I heard about this place for a long time. Inspite of their presence in Índia they took ages to finally open there chain in this city. Like most of you I was super duper excited. Me and couple of my friends reached there in the evening. Man! that place was overcrowded. There were barely any seats. On top of that there was a hugh que for placing orders. I was bit desperate to get our seats as we wanted to hang out for a wile. Afrer a long wait finally got our seats. The place has a decent decor with chocolatey color tone to it. The Acroplis outlet is fairly big, could accommodate 50 people easily. The stuffs there are well behaved and nicely welcome you to the store. As we were in the que for quite a long time with others for placing our orders we were offered some refreshments from them for testing it out. Pic included.

Let's jump right into the main part. I ordered their famous hazelnut café Latté along with macadamia coca (it's there new item was suggested by barista to try) and one double chocolate chip frappuchino. I know the price of the each items are bit steep but for some reason I actually liked they way my Latté tested. I have been to many café and I found most of them make it litte strong of my test but here it was very well balanced. It was smooth, creamier and mellow. They brew the coffee well. The temperature is also well contained. It must be the coffee seeds that making so much difference in test. The blended beverages are simply awesome. It's very rich and thick. You gotta try it out. There were also some varities of snacks to choose from. Overall had a nice evening. It feels great to be at some place on day 1. The ambiance was nice. Starbucks!!! Being one of the most popular Cafè chains Worldwide, I walked in with high expectations and my experience was as follows:

☕Drinks - I usually order my favourite Java Chip Frappuccino which is Rich, Creamy and Decadent or a Hot chocolate.

All drinks have plenty of endless customization options and the Baristas make sure you get something to suit your taste. They don't overcharge for the customization which I personally think is GREAT. RATING - 9/10

🍪🥧Food - There are limited options to try but most of them are well made and fresh. Their Tiramisu doesn't taste like an original tiramisu but they have come up with a combination which is delicious in its own right. RATING - 8/10

🔉Ambience - Warm, well lit, beautiful teal and wooden tones provide the perfect backdrop for your Instagram. The music is soft and the WiFi is fast. Working on your project, reading a book or just hanging out, you can find your cozy little spot everytime. RATING - 8/10

👨🏽‍🍳Staff Behavior - This honestly couldn't be any better. Everyone is super polite, quick and care about what you like. If you happen to dislike a drink, they'll ask you to throw it away and will make a new one for you FOR FREE. You can choose the Barista by whom you'd like your drink prepared. RATING - 10/10

💵💳Cost - $$$

VERDICT - At face value, the price of drinks and food appear to be on the higher side. But the whole experience makes it worth every penny. Be it a black coffee to start your day, or a Hot chocolate after a long day at work or a first date, you can always count on them to have some quality time or cozy food.
