A while back I went to The Swig for their Sunday brunch. It is housed in the central courtyard of the glamourous boutique hotel Rajkutir, along with an indoor seating on two floors inside the building. The place has a beautiful ambiance, perfect for the winter afternoons and evenings, gives an absolute British feel. The bar inside is also well furnished & well lit. The cocktails are stirred by the renowned mixologist Imran. Each of the cocktails offered at the brunch are top notch and can stir up any to your liking incase you want to switch from the existing ones on the menu. I tried a couple of cocktails with white spirits and JC white wine. The grills are okayish!! The point is the batter in which the meat, fish, chicken are marinated, all taste the same. The pork sausages are good, the prawn is doable along with the calamari. The veg grills on the other hand were better. I loved the som tam and thought it was made perfectly. The thin crust pizza was just fine, could have been tastier. The main course is again average with biryani, dal, paneer, rice, roti and a few other things. For desserts the cheesecake was okish, the brownie was good and the ice creams were the best with the generous Chocolate sauce I poured with the wide array of toppings available.
Overall I would say it's a good deal thet were offering @1999 AI. The ambiance is great and so are the cocktails. The food had scope for improvement and I hope they...
Read moreWe liked the ambience and food, the staff behaviour was also polite and professional. We ordered 2 mocktails named, After the sunset and Ice spicy. We didnt liked ice spicy it was appearing as if we are drinking any sort of chilly sauce, although experience was nice. We also ordered 2 dishes named, Egyptian crunchy falafel with pita pockets and Spaghetti agilo olio, both dishes were good and tasty. One thing that we didnt liked is that the seatting arrangment outside was cool and comfortable but inside was not good because the gap between chair and table was too high as we need to bend ourself a lot to have any dish from plate to our mouth. The table was also small. Now in short overall experience was cool and nice just they need to fill the gap in seating...
