Enjoy the flavours of Himalayan cuisine at YETI,The Himalayan Kitchen (Kolkata)😍

🔵Location- Magma Building, Park Street, Kolkata

Yeti, the famous all India brand for the Himalayan cuisine is now at Kolkata, at our very own restaurant lanes of Park Street.

Once you enter the place, it will take you to a complete different land, land of hills, colourful flags, greenery, & classy seating arrangements. Another thing to specially mention is their beautiful crockery, all ceramic plates and bowls giving the hill region vibes.

From their menu, had tried-

✔Ema datchiz- Rs.425- one of the most popular dish in Bhutan, made with chilli pepper, cheese and served with Tingmo(Tibetian steamed bread)

✔Sekuwa- Rs.455- Char-grilled chicken pieces, part of Nepali cuisine.

✔Thakali thali pork- Rs.695- the delicious thali includes Pork, dal, gundruk sadeko(fermented vegetables marinated with spices), saag, aloo tareko(Nepali fried potatoes), vegetables, achar, papad, curd and rice

✔Chicken kothe momo- Rs.425- half fried & half steamed momos, signature of Nepal & other North Eastern regions.

✔Tibetan non veg platter- Rs.695- Gyuma, lowa, chicken dry fry, spicy fried chicken & Tingmo

✔Thakali thali Chicken- this tasty thali includes chicken, dal, gundruk sadeko, saag, aloo tareko, vegetables, achar, papad, curd and rice.

✔Thakali thali Mutton- this thali includes mutton, dal, gundruk sadeko, saag, aloo tareko, vegetables, achar, papad, curd and rice

✔Pork masala- Rs.455

✔Macha tareko- Rs.455- deep fried or pan fried fish marinated with Nepali spices.

✔Yomari- Rs.365- hot steamed dumplings filled with sweetness and chocolate sauce over it, and served with vanilla ice cream.

✔Jhangora kheer- Rs.225- authentic pahari kheer made with jhangora or barnyard millet and milk, sugar, dry fruits.

So if you want to enjoy some real, authentic taste of Pahad or Himalayan regions in Kolkata, then Yeti is...

Shoutout for the Tibetan food lovers. First of all, I would like to tell you that the staff was very polite. Me and my friend went to a restaurant in the park street area and I was wearing Shorts and the restaurant denied us to enter. Then we reached Yeti and again the guards hesitated to let us enter. They said very politely that please ask our superiors. If they will allow you, we won’t have any problem. We asked the superiors and they happily let us in. Secondly, the interior was very nice and gives you the feel of sitting in a Tibetan Restaurant. We asked the server about the specialities of the restaurant and a matter of fact the food was amazing. It’s presentation made it look more tempting. We ordered hot and sour chicken soup and the portions were huge. The soup was delicious. Then we ordered Lowa (Goat Lungs cooked in Tibetan style with onion and tomatoes). It was served on banana leaf and it was so juicy and mouth watering that while writing this review I am getting the flavor again in my mouth. Then icing on the top was the ‘Yeti Special Kothe Momos’. It was available in 3 different flavors: Chicken, Mutton & Pork. We chose chicken and it was worth ordering those momos. First of all the shape was different than the regular momos. To make it more tempting they added a rose petal on top of every momo which was served with three different types of sauces. It looked like a dessert served with sauces. It was so yummy and delicious, precisely cooked and very attractive. As per the price of the momos, the quantity was less. That’s the only thing. One star less rating just for that but giving an extra star for the politeness and humbleness of the staff. A peaceful place, worth trying food if you are in the Park Street of Kolkata. Lots of love to the staff. Keep it up...

Yeti brings the cuisine of Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan together under one roof. The interior along with background music plays a good role beyond its cozy ambience. The Tibetan prayer flags, earthy walls, white crockeries go so well with the vibes. And now what can I say about the food! It's sumptuous and definitely give you a feel of nature; to be specific of mountain. We have tried- • Aloo Sadeko. It was on their house. As a complimentary dish it was pretty good; flavoursome. • Phokso. A Nepalese appetizer which had mutton lungs, onion and spices. Though I was a bit sceptic about it at first, but it came out to be a great starter. • Chicken La Phing. Today's best dish. The outer cover was of mung bean and spicy chicken chunks inside. Which I loved the most that there was some dry crunchy wai wai along with the chicken. Highly Recommended. • Pork Sha Datchi. A very comforting main course that belongs to Bhutan. It contains a cold & fluffy Tingmo and a big bowl of hot & thick Cheesy Pork Stew. • Jhangora Kheer. A kheer of barnyard millet with lots of dry fruits. A nice, soothing showstopper.

Their staffs are also very supportive, courteous, always ready to be there for you. Now coming to the expense; it's a little bit of higher side though the food totally justifies the price. But at some point it's very absurd as they charge 195/- for a bottle of drinking water, then even after GSTs they also charge a big amount of service charge IDK why. If you can overlook these things, this place is definitely a good choice for a lovely gateway to...
