Situated in heart of the City in 'maidan' and surrounded by victoria memorial, park Street, new Market, Eden garden, etc. Two ponds are built inside the park.

One can find greenery in all over the park. Benches are available for seating. Park has a nice Jogging track for joggers. Very popular in youngsters. You always find them under shed of trees or hidden in bamboo brush. One upon a time it was famous in the people of Kolkata due to it's maintenance but presently there is lack of cleaning, maintenance of garden, trimming of decorative trees even ponds are dirty. Fountains inside ponds are unserviceable since long. Seems no body/ authority are interested in maintaining the park bother now days. Due to its location, one can reach there from all over Kolkata/ Howrah by any means of travel. Best way to travel by trams or metro to reach the park.

An oasis in the heart of Kolkata—Elliot Park is where the city slows down and breathes. Tucked just behind Tata Centre and a 2-minute stroll from Maidan Metro Station, Elliot Park is one of those rare green pockets that balances urban buzz with serene calm. Whether you’re escaping office stress, walking off a heavy lunch from Park Street, or just craving silence in the city—this place delivers. Why Elliot Park stands out 🌿 1. Immaculately maintained: The walking tracks are clean, the lawns are manicured, and the benches are never too crowded. A welcome surprise, especially in central Kolkata! 2. Perfect for walkers and joggers: The circular path is wide, shaded, and ideal for early morning jogs or evening strolls. You’ll find fitness enthusiasts, seniors, and college students all vibing in harmony. 3. Green escape with skyline views: While you enjoy the chirping birds and tall trees, the distant silhouette of downtown Kolkata peeks through—best of both worlds. 4. Safe and peaceful: Entry is free but secure. It feels family-friendly, with couples, kids, and elderly visitors all coexisting without any nuisance. Extras that make it special: Photography alert: Visit around 4:30–5:30 PM for golden light filtering through the trees—ideal for portraits or casual reels. Proximity bonus: Maidan Metro, Victoria Memorial, and St. Paul’s Cathedral are all within walking distance. Makes for a beautiful half-day circuit. No hawkers inside = clean experience. But don’t worry—there’s always a bhel puri or tea stall right outside the gates when hunger hits. Heads-up ⚠️ Closed on Mondays for maintenance. No food or loud music allowed—this is a calm space, not a picnic ground. Limited shaded seating—carry a cap if you're visiting in the afternoon. Local tip: Carry a book or some headphones and let the world slow down. If you’re a working professional, this is your go-to spot for a reset. If you’re a tourist, it’s the quiet pause you didn’t know you needed between Victoria and Park Street. Elliot Park is proof that in the middle of chaos, Kolkata still has places that let you just... be.
