Ambience & Service: I thought this place would be spacious looking at pictures and from outside, but it was cramped. Walking space as much as an aisle can be. At dessert counter there was small queue too. I felt service were rushing through and putting pressure, like indirectly telling to finish asap. We were out under 70-80 mins from the time of entering. Staff do come to table for feedback and ask if we need anything so service looked good. Sorry I can't criticize your food on your face so don't a for oral feedback or those open feedback form, feedback must be closed in a box and anonymous. On dessert counter they were out of spoons and no staff realized it until notified them and even after that it was not provided after 2 mins wait.
Drink: They offer sprite and coke, and if you don't like such toilet cleaner drinks then you have to do away with the regular water they keep on your table. At least they should offer lemon water/soda or desi drinks like jajeera. One soup was available which I couldn't try.
Starters: Panipuri and papdi chat were served on table and Pani Puri was below avg and easily skippable, papdi chat was fine. In condiment got only green chutney, seriously single condiment for the amount you are charging! Out of two kebabs starters, one was passe but other saved the grace and I loved it. Both made of potatoes. Crispy corn were crisp but nothing to compliment them. I feel they had more items in online menu than they actually served, so beware of it. Overall Grill was fine having Paneer, Pineapple, mushroom & Broccoli. Grilled Soy tasted bad.
Mains: I loved the Maa ki daal or daal makhni, whatever it was. Paneer Gravy. Veg Kofta, and Subz Meloni were good. Potato were raw in one veg and was a let down. Naan and tandoori roti are served hot on table. Mains were satisfactory.
Dessert: It was 50-50 on taste. Few varieties of cake/pastries were there, few were fine others were bad. Coconut pudding cake stands out good. Moong dal halwa was worst I ever tasted, something was mixed probably it was semolina and there were no dry fruits for the bite it needed. Gulab jamun I didn't try. Phirni and chocolate balls were below average and can pass them. Kulfi were good, although didn't try the toppings which didn't looks exciting except gulkand and chia seeds, and ice creams I passed since they were normal flavors of Vanilla, Strawberry like. On the counter I tried white sauce pasta, and it was good. Didn't try there three Biryanis(Paneer, Veg and third was probably Soya), and neither tried any salads which probably were not visible to me.
Extra: If you have birthday or anniversary, they do provide a complimentary bento cake to cut and take away, and there staff members join in to sing the birthday song in a very cheerful manner. So nice of them.
Worthiness: Food I can't say was outstanding or very good because there were good bad mixed up. It was fine, so it boils down to what you paying for this. I went on a regular December'2023 Monday(no holiday or special day). and was charged 849 for veg buffet. Including taxes and service charges it was 936 rs per head. It could have been even worse if I had visited on weekend.
It's not worth my money, so I am not going back, and neither I would recommend any of my veg friends except someone want to have an experience(of large menu with slight regret ). It may be fine for someone who have really big appetite and can run longer for 3 hours of feast to enjoy at fullest.
Suggestion: please taste your food and improve based on feedbacks, and true feedback can be anonymous. Rethink about price tag, and be little innovative, especially think about...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've visited BBQ Nation 5-6 times before, but this was by far my worst experience.
The trouble started right at the entrance. We had called ahead and booked a table, and were assured over the phone that we'd receive a discount of ā¹125 per person. However, upon arrival, the manager claimed there was no record of such a discount and asked us to call again and confirm. After a frustrating back-and-forth involving 3-4 calls and a 30-minute wait, we finally received a link to make a token payment, after which the discount was applied.
The starters were decentānothing exceptional, but passable. Things really went downhill once we moved to the buffet section. There was no live pasta counter, which was surprising. They told us the pasta had been pre-made and placed in the buffet section. When I checked, the tray was empty. I requested fresh pasta, which eventually arrived at our table after 20-25 minutesābut it was watery and bland. I couldnāt even finish a single bite.
I then turned to the panipuri, hoping for a better experience, but even the spicy pani was missing. It took nearly 30 minutes to get that refilled too. By now, I was already quite frustrated.
Thinking the main course might salvage the evening, I opted for some basic dal and riceābut that too was a disappointment. The rice was nearly finished, and whatever was left had turned hard due to being kept too long on high steam. The dal was almost over as well, and even the dal makhani was underwhelming in taste.
After all this, I didnāt even bother trying the desserts.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. Service was slow, food was below average, and it felt like a complete waste of money.Definitely not the standard I expected...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointed Experience at Barbeque Nation ā Needs Serious Improvement
I have been a regular visitor to Barbeque Nation and have always appreciated their service, food, and overall dining experience. However, my recent visit was highly disappointing and compelled me to share my first negative review.
To begin with, the starters were served cold, which completely ruined the initial impression. Adding to that, despite a food festival being promoted, we had to repeatedly ask the staff to bring the specific festival dishes. It felt like the team was either underprepared or not attentive to what should have been a key highlight of the visit.
What was even more disturbing was the lack of hygiene. Someone had apparently vomited near a side table, and shockingly, the area remained uncleaned for the entire duration of our visit ā until we got up to leave. This reflects extremely poorly on the restaurantās cleanliness standards and staff attentiveness.
There was no proper attention from the service team throughout the meal. The staff seemed untrained, lacking both coordination and a basic sense of customer service. The chefās preparations lacked any distinct taste or uniqueness ā something I always associated with Barbeque Nation in the past.
Overall, it felt like a complete waste of money. The brand that once set a benchmark in buffet and grill dining seems to be slipping in quality and service. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving staff training, hygiene, food quality, and customer engagement. As a loyal customer, Iād love to see Barbeque Nation bounce back to the standard it once...
