Chittu's RASOI — Restaurant in Maharashtra

I visited Chittu's Rasoi with curiosity after hearing about their signature dish, Chicken 95, as I was familiar with Chicken 65 but not 95. However, my experience at the restaurant left much to be desired.

Firstly, when I inquired about the difference between Chicken 65 and 95, the waiter seemed clueless, and another boy later explained that it was the same dish, just cooked in extra spicy gravy. This lack of knowledge about their own dishes was disappointing. The Chicken 95 I received was not as impressive as I had hoped. The dish contained mostly bones, leaving very little meat to enjoy. While the presentation was decent, the taste did not live up to expectations. It felt like a new name for an existing dish without any real innovation. Another disappointment was that they serve fish thalis, but the sukat chutney was not available at the time I wanted to try it. This limited the options and left me feeling unsatisfied with the overall dining experience. The restaurant's quality and service also left much to be desired. The food was cold, and the chicken masala lacked the spicy Kolhapuri taste that I had anticipated. It had a slightly sweet flavor, which was not what I expected. On a positive note, I had a pleasant conversation with an underage waiter, which added a personal touch to the otherwise disappointing experience. However, this alone cannot compensate for the overall lackluster quality of the food and service.

Furthermore, the unavailability of 50% of the food items, despite being charged the full amount, was quite frustrating. The term "Tandoori" was misleading as the chicken was fried rather than being prepared in a tandoor.

In conclusion, my visit to Chittu's Rasoi near Reliance Mall in Kolhapur was not satisfactory. The lack of knowledge about their dishes, the disappointing quality of the food, and the unavailability of items make it difficult to recommend this restaurant. There are better options available, and I would not advise anyone to visit this...

One of Honest review i m sharing.The went to the hotel as I m connected to a women club. The moment I called the hotel they said u can come with the family as the food is unlimited. We first thought its sharing food, but as I went there they said u have to pay for other person and u can't share the food even after taking other thali. The staff (kiran)while u are eating food roams near ur table jus keeping a watch to check if u share the food. The thali which we took had meat which was not cooked.And the most worst part was the roti was very hard, when asked to the staff he said its due to cold climate, so my husband went to the roti maker and strictly ordered him soft roti.After that other customers also started to complaining for roti. Meal full of flavours- wooowww that’s how I can explain the flavourful, aromatic and just awesomely tasty food at Chittu’s. We were recommended about chittus by few of our friends. And truly Chittus team was true to our expectations. We were 12 people and were offered their unlimited buffet . Buffet was nicely setup . Soup , tandoori chicken , chicken lemon garlic, authentic Kolhapur chicken & chicken haidrabadi, fish curry, tambda rassa, pandhra rassa( this only was not up to the mark ) , masala rice, roti & ice cream. All this at just Rs.299/- and that too in a buffet. Wow . How can they afford it???? Food : 5/5 Ambience n food...
